Yvonne McCormack-Lyons is the Founder and President of the two-time, award-winning Women’s International Film & Arts Festival (WIFF) and the recently launched new streaming platform WIFF-TV. WIFF-TV, is an online platform featuring films, television, podcasts and content made By Women For Women. She is a persistent catalyst for changing how women are portrayed and perceived in the media and for women both behind and in front of the camera. She has been invited internationally to speak on areas concerning: 1. women in film and entertainment 2. women in business particularly, the impact of personal Branding 3. The Power and impact of girls on the box office She also hosts and co-produces Reel Moments: With BadAss Women in Film & Entertainment, a podcast airing on I-Tunes, I-Heart Radio, Spotify, Stitcher, Pandora as well as You-Tube. Yvonne founded WIFF with the mission to create a safe venue for women to screen, promote and market their films, and address women’s issues. After only two years, WIFF was awarded with the Miami's Best Film Festival. WIFF received this prestigious recognition once again in 2013. Yvonne and WIFF have been invited around the world, including Cartegenia, Columbia; Liverpool, England; Barbodos, WI, and in 2013 the city of Medellin, Colombia invited Yvonne to host its first WIFF event in South America. McCormack-Lyons was also the producer and anchor for the West Indian International Network broadcasted through the Caribbean Broadcasting Union. McCormack-Lyons is married to storyteller Baba Adekemi Lyons and is the proud mother of 22-year-old, student at the famous Lee Strasberg Acting School at NYU Tisch School of The Arts, Ojobayo Lyons.
