Director of Revenue - Data & Analytics

- Work closely with leadership (Directors / VPs / CMO) to assure team development coincides with company revenue goals.
- Team is responsible for automating the implementation of pricing strategies, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, introducing key revenue metrics not previously available at the organization, among others.

Sr. Analytics Manager

I lead a team of intelligent and talented analysts tasked with: revenue reporting, data source of truth management, innovation, and revenue optimization. 
- We manage Acquisitions performance reporting for the Revenue Department, coordinating with the Integrations Data team to assure the completeness of the data-set, modeling the data for the warehouse, creating the visualizations / Dashboards in Looker and Tableau, and provide training on the terms and usage.
- We're the owners of a complex Python-based reporting tool designed to deliver key metrics customized for each analyst. We roadmap the product, running user-based focus groups and effective communication with the executive team to drive prioritization of upcoming features in sprints.
- We build and maintain numerous source-of-truth tables for distinct revenue reporting silos generated via DBT and Airflow. 
- We develop and manage the Looker back-end for revenue reporting (LookML) as well as build/maintain the Performance / Pacing / Key Metric Dashboards used daily by Regional Portfolio Revenue Management Team. 
- We quickly stand up Tableau Dashboards with Custom SQL designed to drive analyst actions. 
- We answer questions using data to illustrate our points and tell a story, regularly communicated via slide deck or written one-pagers.
- We create innovative metrics designed to drive new analyst behaviors, generating additional revenue.
- We create programmatic actions to drive bulk pricing behaviors, optimizing short-term revenue generation and maximizing Revenue per Inventory.
- We build and grow effective relationships with key counterpart teams: Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Operations Analytics, Acquisitions, Integrations, Owner Experience, Growth, and others.

Analytics Manager - Revenue Performance & Innovation

Migrated from a Revenue Management role to a more wide-reaching analytics position. The transition has allowed me to build data solutions for the analyst teams via Looker, coordinate with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to assure quality revenue data, and report on said data to management and beyond.
- Looker Developer (LookML) responsible for revamp of key Revenue Explore: overhauling multiple Views in the process, creating new Dimensions + Measures, removing hundreds of outdated fields, monitoring and addressing downstream effects via Content Validator, updating production where necessary. Coordinating QA and Merge processes. 6,000+ lines of LookML modifications in Github (and counting) for this particular project. 
- Streamlined and standardized data request process: created Google Sheets Template; incorporated Peer Review process; standardized SQL queries to assure consistency; consistently delivering on high urgency, quick turnaround data requests from important stakeholders. 
- Implemented Agile management for Revenue Analytics team via JIRA. Created a Team-managed board and kicked off 2 week sprints with Backlog, story point estimates, Burnup reports, leading the Sprint Recap/Planning meetings. These sprints flow into our BiWeekly Updates to key stakeholders.
- Founding member of the Collaboration TaskForce focused on cross-team connections and communication. We create initiatives to drive a stronger sense of community and cross-team work optimization, sending out quarterly surveys to measure our collaborative strength within the org. We've seen a 35 point NPS increase in survey results in 2021.

Sr. Analyst - Revenue Analytics

Responsible for leading the team of international portfolio revenue analysts based in Chile. We manage the rates, discounts, stay requirements, channel promotions and optimization priorities for our collective portfolio - which includes countries in South and Central America, Europe and South Africa. 

My responsibilities and daily activities include:
- To guide my team: setting priorities for each individual and providing the necessary support for each of them to achieve success.
- Spot review and auditing of future unit-night rates and recently created reservations.
- Attend and contribute to high-level stakeholder meetings for the international portfolio.
- Oversee systems integrations with property management systems (Avantio) and directly with channels.
- Organize and coordinate team meetings to monitor progress, set priorities, share information, identify challenges and grow as a unit.
- Conduct SQL queries (PostgreSQL) to investigate trends, report on revenue and identify potential issues and pitfalls.
- Update warehouse data using tools and platforms such as Python (Pycharm CE + Conda), Avantio, NightsBridge and Google Sheets.
