Duties & Responsibilities:
(a) Analytical To examine the information collect and draw logical conclusions from them.
(b) Communication Have strong communication because spend much of their time listening to and speaking with patients. 
(d) Observational Study attitude and behavior. Watch people and understand the possible meanings of people’s facial expressions, body positions, actions, and interactions.
(D) Patience.  Demonstrate patience, because research or treatment of patients may take a long time. They must also be patient when dealing with people who have mental or behavioral disorders.
•	Conduct scientific studies of behavior and brain function
•	Collect information through observations, interviews, surveys, and other methods
•	Research and identify behavioral or emotional patterns
•	Test for patterns that will help them better understand and predict behavior
•	Use their knowledge to increase understanding among individuals and groups

Duties &Responsibilities:
(a) Assessment
 Routinely use tests and assessment to aid in diagnosing a mental health condition for a patient. These tests help get a basic understanding of the connections between someone's thoughts and feelings and the subsequent behaviors causing problems
(b) Short-Term Help
Some people turn to psychologists for help getting through traumatic life experiences. The death of a close family member or friend, for instance, may motivate people to find grief counseling.
(C)Ongoing Care
Also offer long-term counsel for people suffering from more chronic mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety or substance abuse. Diagnosing the patient's condition and then treating it with the appropriate therapeutic methods are common practice. Psychologists commonly meet with patients once a week or every two weeks to review progress and discuss challenges.
(d)Goal Setting
Typically, one of the first things does with a new patient is help him to set goals for treatment. Someone combating substance abuse may have a variety of goals, for instance, including staying clean or sober for a certain amount of time, ending relationships with problematic people and getting or keeping a job.
(e) Therapy
Psychotherapy includes individual, couples, family and group sessions. With children or in family scenarios, the psychologist wants to include everyone involved in the patient's daily life to get their support and aid in modifying lifestyle and behavior. Couples normally receive marriage counseling. Group therapies are used as a way to generate mutual support among people struggling with similar 



Challenges. Facilitating these sessions and getting patients to open up are normal psychologist functions.
