Zakia Salod is a multifaceted individual from South Africa with an academic background and experience in programming, data analysis, business intelligence, medical informatics and machine learning. Her primary focus and passion is in the Medicine field. For instance, she has extensive experience in working on the Momentum medical aid system in South Africa, coupled with her recent Masters in Medical Science Medical Informatics degree. Her Masters dissertation focused on using machine learning for breast cancer prediction. Her BCom Honours Information Systems and Technology degree dissertation focused on establishing the motivation for students choosing the Information Technology major at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), which was also a multidisciplinary study and utilized a psychological framework. She also has a BSc degree in Computer Science and Information Technology. Zakia has experience in both corporate and academia, with research and scientific writing skills. Besides Medicine in corporate and research, Zakia also has some Law and Agricultural background, from her work experience. She is also a born and natural Artist and a Philanthropist, having pursued many successful initiatives in both realms. Zakia is very dedicated, focused, diligent, driven, had taken numerous successful leadership roles, since schooling, to date and is particularly, extremely passionate about the Medicine field.
