The company was founded by my cousin, whom I joined shortly after to commercialize the product. The idea to develop an analytics platform for SaaS companies was born back in 2013, a year before SaaS companies reached a historical high in number of financing rounds. At that time, affordable SaaS analytics was a niche market served mainly by startups in North America, leaving Europe an untapped but highly promising market.

Main responsibilities: 
• Built a team of 4 to develop a cloud platform for SaaS companies to get actionable and instant analytics on a company’s business performance by means of connecting to a company’s billing and payment system (i.e. Stripe)
• Designed and executed a Go-to-Market strategy in the Nordics which included product management, digital marketing and outbound sales
• Acquired and led the deployment of Datmachine in several B2B SaaS companies, including Europe's leading cloud service provider
• Consulted medium-scale SaaS companies on implementing performance metrics and making data-driven decisions

We stopped operations in 2015, as were not able to get a critical mass of customers to grow fast enough and resist emerging competition in Central Europe. The penetration of digital payment infrastructure lagged in the Nordics as many companies were using electronic invoicing.

On paper, calculating your net worth is simple: Subtract what you owe from what you own. But for wealthy clients with complex and diverse portfolios, it isn’t that simple.

Net worth paints a picture of your financial health at a single moment in time and can be useful in routinely tracking your progress - but that doesn’t tell the whole story.

One challenge in calculating your net worth is assigning accurate values to all your private assets. Do you take fair value (i.e. an asset’s worth in the current market), your invested amount, or completely write it off to zero?

If you have many private investments, you might benefit from assessing your liquid net worth. This is the portion of your net worth that could be easily converted to cash in one day, if needed.

The financial minds of millennials have been shaped by software, smartphones, and the rise and fall of the stock market. Unfortunately, however, private banks have yet to catch up on such changes. 
 
Millennials – those who were born between 1981 and 1996 – were the first generation to grow up with the internet and social media as the world underwent a digital revolution. 
 
They then launched their careers and chased their dreams amid economic turbulence. They weathered the financial crisis of 2007 and explored new ways of building wealth. 
 
Now, millennials want on-demand digital tools to manage their wealth, just like those on their smartphones, as well as advice tailored to alternative asset classes. At the moment, what they’re getting is a standartized service designed for their parents. 

This generational divide is explained by age, technology and behaviour. 
 
📊 Data from the Financial Conduct Authority revealed that most (33%) financial advisors are aged 50-59, while just 6% are under the age of 30. 
 
💻 According to an EY study, almost half (47%) of European millennial private wealth clients want virtual sessions with advisors or use the internet for advice.  
 
💸 The same study found that 38% of European millennials are choosing riskier investments, including cryptocurrency, VC and FinTech, compared to 24% of baby boomers, or those born between 1946 and 1964. 
 
Wealth managers must understand their individual needs, behaviours and values to deliver a hyper-personalized, data driven service for a tech savvy generation.  
 
If they don’t, millennials will move on. Research shows they are 73% more likely than baby boomers (29%) to change their financial providers, move assets, or start working with new managers.
