Originally called Electronic Consultants Inc. and formed in 1991 to build Computers for Attorneys, Accountants, Drafting Companies, and other businesses including Premiere video. I now provide Internet Support Services including Website Design, Web hosting, Dedicated Servers, Linux Support, Firewall management, Managed Racks, Co-location, DNS, and of course Cyber Security consulting. 

With over 20 years of working with Unix systems I my services include Linux server repairs and support for businesses and the web hosting industry. I support Linux web hosting platforms and GUI’s including cPanel. I’ve been providing Linux support services since 1997.

Managing my several racks over the last 20 years in a certified data center and at customer locations combined with over a dozen years of environmental experience I have the ability to both build and run a data center. I currently resell data center rack space in a certified data center

While I am not open to new programming projects I do support a wide variety of website applications like Wordpress, Magento, and other e-commerce systems both old and new. It really doesn’t matter what it does and no, I won’t re-write your old code but I might be able to fix it.

Around the time when the Internet first started, I was already an online user with various services like AOL, Compuserve, Genie, others.  I had joined the Cobalt Users List and needed a name to be used and archived publicly.  In those days everybody had a code name and in the transition to "The Internet", I started with the cute name one of my customers made up for me while joking around about working for him.  The full name was Zeffie Storm.  In my writings, in various places, I use Storm to indicate my taking a stronger stance on something or just kicking some butt.  

Before I knew it Zeffie had people contacting him from around the world asking for help with their Cobalt RaQ servers and Qube routers. These were the first Internet appliances to hit the market.  

Coming from a background where I re-engineered a lot of things either to work better, correctly, or do things they weren't really meant to, and after a crappy response from Cobalt support, I digested the devices.  I went through every PKG and every RPM in the system, and in most cases updated and rebuilt them.  

I also built a lot of new packages and RPMs.  On the user's lists, the trolls would answer questions with "you can't build that on this" responses, and I had fun building whatever it was, packaging it up, and distributing it, most often for free. 

I created my own line of updates after Sun purchased Cobalt Networks and stopped making updates after April 12, 2004.  I have made updates ever since.  I created firewall, security, and misc packages with GUI's, and preached about security and firewalling, and developed more than one firewall system.

With the dawn of virtualization, I created a RaQ4 Webhosting version that would run on OpenVZ and finally get rid of the aging "pizza boxes" as some used to call them.  If I get the time to, I intend on building a final cut that includes all or most of the packages and other cool options. But not intended to be used publicly.

As for myself, I worked in several areas of business development both online and off including content development and marketing and web presence management. I researched their markets, what was selling, and how to sell more of it, and in a lot of cases developed the websites and maintained the backend.  While some sites were simple and others had custom scripts that ran shopping carts and other e-commerce solutions.  

My customers have been individuals, start-ups, small businesses, large businesses, cities, governments, countries, web developers, consultants, musicians, and content developers.

I am not a professional caregiver.  I have been tasked with providing caregiver services for two females.  The first of 3 years has moved on and the second I'm very proud of.  I have taken her from a flip phone life to a very nice smartphone where she has the ability to maintain all of her accounts, eMail, and most importantly, text message her sister.   

With great patience I instructed and repeated myself enough that she now has the ability to use a computer without asking for help 99% of the time and the few times she asked, it's the next computer lesson.   I also have taken her from eggs and bacon that included a stick of butter every day to healthy eating.  She's 66 years old and I could go on, but I won't.  This is not a paid position.

Premiere Video was one of the world’s largest VHS and Beta Videotape duplicators. When I started at Premiere we had about 200 VHS and 100 Beta Industrial Videotape Recorders. PVI grew that to over 7000 VHS Duplicators and a Laser-based High-Speed Duplication system with a Tape Loading room that made 1000’s of VHS tapes 24/7.  I maintained equipment in every department and was on call 24/7 for over a dozen years.

I created, installed, maintained, and specified computer equipment, software, and network systems and was the network administrator for the 8 building network. The roughly 50 node network was built using “Invisible Lan” network cards installed inside of computers that I built by hand myself.  I maintained the computers in every area which included interfacing various types of computers into a variety of departments to automate various tasks.  Highlights include building and maintaining “High Resolution” desktops for the scheduling department, and creating a network of workstations that enabled a couple of hundred people at any given time to work more efficiently, produce more videotapes, and lower costs.

Many of my repairs and designs went into the success of Premiere Video. While I started as the first “Tech”, my job responsibilities grew quickly and before I knew it my primary function was to reduce manufacturing costs, improve efficiencies, standardize processes and procedures, and evaluate, recommend and implement a program of continuous improvement… It didn’t matter what the device was, I could fix it or make it better.  I was known as the answer guy.  I did Whatever I Wanted, Whenever I Wanted, and everybody knew they could count on me! 24/7

Repaired various VHS and Beta VCR’s, video games, test equipment, color and B&W TV’s.  Programming in Basic and DOS on the first Zenith Z-150 PC system.  Front counter customer service as needed.  After programming various accounting functions and showing the owner my work, I started my computer cyber security career when I set my first business accounting password here.

For over 20 years I've provided 24/7/365 Linux technical support, Website Design, Web hosting, Dedicated Servers, Linux Support, Firewall management, Managed Racks, Co-location, DNS, Internet Presence Management, and of course Cyber Security consulting.

I have another 14 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing where I provided level 3 support services and was on call 24/7.  I was responsible for 11 buildings, a couple of hundred employees and the large variety of electrified equipment that supported their ability to run three shifts, seven days a week with an emphasis on safety.

I've designed, built, tested, sold, setup, and repaired a variety of custom manufacturing systems and "computer systems" and networks since 1981.

Specialties: Linux System Administration, Linux Service, and Support, Linux troubleshooting, Firewall management, Internet Security, Co-Location, and Data Center services for businesses.  I currently supply internet connectivity and other data services for small to large organizations.

I've even provided IT services for the president of Mali, Africa.
