In early 2010, I was handed a bank check for $30.28 as I left home to look for a job. Bewildered, I went to the bank and learned that it was all I had to my name. I had to feed my sons for the next four days with that money and find a job, and find one FAST. With that bank check for $30.28, I started pursuing my dream of working for Atlantic Health System and having my sons with me, full time. I had to #berelentless in order for me to do what I wanted and needed to do for myself and my sons. I pulled myself out of darkness and into the light, while enduring multiple forms of Domestic Violence. When I had enough of the abuse, I took back my power, defending my custody multiple times. That was still just the beginning. The multiple detours, failures, heartbreaks…all the confrontation with my pain and fears…..led me here. I never doubted my journey. I trusted it - even when it seemed like the mountain wouldn’t get out of my way. I let everything fuel me. I KNEW better days were coming, because The Universe has its plan, and it was all for my best and highest self. Better days arrived, but not until after my sons decided to move in with me, full time. After much trauma therapy, we started to see the light at the end of the tunnel….. and then things got better. I landed my current job at Atlantic Health. LIFE started happening again, and we three started LIVING again. THIS is what I’ve been working toward! Although I am not exactly where I want to be in life at this point, I sure as hell am getting there and to be brutally honest, I hope I never reach the destination! “Content” is not a word that sits well with me. One of the greatest things I have learned since age 18, is that a dream is just a dream if you choose to do nothing about it. It is a just a noun and you have to change it into a verb. It is taking that dream -that Vision- and intensely focusing on it while TAKING ACTION, in just about every minute in every day. You ABSOLUTELY MUST #berelentless! You must internalize the understanding that YOU have the power to create your life, and everything in it. So if you want it, go get it, and be relentless!
