Known as the “Hotel of the Stars.” The Sheraton Universal hotel is immersed in the Entertainment community. Our Universal City hotel is just steps from Universal Studios Hollywood and plays a starring role for business travelers who want to extend their trip for pleasure and for leisure guests seeking a lively Hollywood hotel to “Turn Up!” The Sheraton Universal is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation. Hotel has 457 guest rooms and 30,000 square feet of meeting space.

In my role as Director of Sales & Marketing, I’m am responsible for the overall success of the Sales & catering departments as we’ll as Branding & Marketing efforts of the Sheraton Universal hotel.

Broughton Hotels

As General Manager I am responsible for the overall success of a 190 room iconic hotel with over 30,000 square feet of event/function space located in the San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles. Hotel and Events Center are located on 8 acres. Food and Beverage operation includes 2 restaurants - F&B Revenue over $3 Million annually. Guest room revenue over $6.5 million annually. Manages 8 managers and 100 Union Employees. Currently managing a $5million +  renovation of guest rooms, lobby and pool which is the largest hotel pool in LA County. Assisted in the re-branding efforts of the Sportsmen's Lodge campus. Created or enhanced 5 revenue streams for hotel (guest overnight parking fees, pool entrance fees, film productions, film crew parking and Base-Camps)

General Manager

In this position, I am responsible for the total sales & catering efforts of a 190 - room hotel which includes a 30,000 square foot Event Center. Responsible for daily revenue management, advertisement (Print & Internet), hotel and Food & Beverage promotions. Oversees 3 hotel sales managers, 4 catering managers and 2 Coordinators. My market responsibility is all aspects of Film Production which includes, selling, contracting & being the on-site contact as well as Corporate (Group & Transient). Hotel Sales Pro is sales system utilized for group rooms and catering. Utilizes EZ Yield to manage 3rd party internet rates on a daily basis. Manage all social media websites, currently using Twitter, Facebook & Foursquare.
