Hi I am a ‘Retail Store Design & Delivery Project Manager’. For the past 20 years, I have been helping Retailers, Retail Brand Owners, Mall Developers and Landlords in designing, building & delivering ‘Customer-Centric’ Retail stores for increased customer footfall, conversions and sustainable business growth. I have been passionate about Retail Industry since my childhood as I happen to have born in the business community of the western state of Rajasthan from where some of the large Indian retail houses have originated who eventually became reputed global retail brands. This obsession made me select Architecture as my graduate study course because I wanted to become an Architect and serve the retail industry by designing and building some awesome retail stores & experiences. After my graduation I made my foray into the world of "Retail" for a few years where I gained enormous amount of understanding of the Retail store design development and project management while opening more than 100 stores before taking a leap of faith and moving to UAE in 2007. In the past 20 years, I am blessed to have worked with multiple large retailers and more than 100+ International & Home Grown Retail brands for their physical stores’ expansion across the gulf region. I have been part of opening 750+ Retail stores for them, covering 3.5M Sq. Ft. leasable space at the cost of USD 80M, while dealing with Mall Owners/Landlords, Statutory Authorities and Retail Design & Delivery (RDD) Teams, across 8 different Gulf countries, to consistently deliver high quality stores, ‘in-time’ and ‘within the budgeted cost’ while also saving USD 12M in overall capex cost. For the past few years, I have developed an interest for 'Customer-Centric' Retail Experiences which provide seamless & zero-friction 'Customer Experiences' (CX) for the retailers and retail brand owners to achieve sustainable business growth. Now I share my knowledge and experiences through writing posts/blogs, sharing newsletters, speaking and participating on different retail forums. I am great proponent of Brick and Mortar retail but propagate the omni-channel strategy for longevity. I am an analytic, considerate, adaptable and empathetic person who has a contributing style of working for the ultimate and sustainable success & growth of the organizations and business I work for.
