I woke up sweating and panting, trying to catch my breath. I was bleeding profusely, having met with an accident. It was just a bad dream. But, instead of feeling relieved, all I felt was dread at the thought of returning to work. I wished the dream was real for a moment, to avoid going to work. This was the moment I realized something was broken. On the surface, I had ‘made it.’ I had everything I ever wanted. Everyone around me said, ‘You’re successful.’ But I was miserable. I filled the void with more work, hoping happiness was just around the corner. But I was close to burning out and had hit a plateau. My performance dipped, and I knew something had to change. During this time, I connected with a virtual mentor halfway across the globe due to a project I created for his team. After discussing everything I was going through deeply, he gave me a new perspective, that made me realize the power of technology. I quit my job the following month for a short sabbatical & took a few months off, hiking, trekking, and attending meditation retreats to center myself. By March 2020, I returned with clarity: I wanted to work in a challenging, evolving, and remote field. Then the pandemic hit, and I faced a crossroads again: return to my old job or explore uncharted territory. As you would have guessed, I chose the latter, fueled by excitement and curiosity. I had no idea or prospects but had clarity that I wanted to sculpt my own career. I created a Career Lab, Lynx Vortex, treating this as an experiment & started learning things I was curious about, developing my unique curriculum, and connecting with industry experts to learn faster. I learned Product Design, Growth Marketing, Content Marketing, NoCode website and product builds, and various digital products. That's when I understood how Mentors & Practitioners could change how we learn something! This led to the creation of Nitwitt (formerly Inquisitive Studio). I am building Nitwitt to address our globally broken education system by offering personalized, practical, skill-based education through Email Educational Courses (EECs) supported by a community-driven platform. My mission through this is to democratize education, making it accessible and aligned with real-world needs. I'm also helping early-stage EdTech and AI startup founders build sustainable growth engines through educational content that fuels growth and builds brand authority. I call them TeachTitans - the practitioners who are in the trenches, teaching what they know, embodying the essence of Nitwitt.
