“Sak pase” 🔊🔝 This is a Haitian greeting in creole that means “what’s up”. 🇭🇹 You either saw me taking a ride in a taxi that drives itself (#TechThursday), or dancing in your feed, or in a comment section talking about content creator stuff. One thing's for sure, I'm here to add some seasoning to this place. It is really hard to just be yourself online and in real life (IRL). There's too much pressure to conform to the environment around you, which stifles creativity and innovation. This is not very motivating and takes a lot of energy to keep up with. That is why the majority of you consume content. I get it, that's a safe approach, maybe even an escape. If you are here to learn, no problem; but for the rest of you, what are you doing? Looking for a job, customers, investors, more employees, etc. why are you being so passive? 1% of the people on LinkedIn create content and most of them follow the same boring protocol that dictates the so called rules of this virtual water cooler- Look and sound like everyone else, just like at work. 🙃 This means it is relatively easy to build an audience on LinkedIn compared to YouTube or Instagram. You have an opportunity to stand out, build community, and attract what you are looking for so you don't have to spend so much time and energy chasing. Humanize your approach by being yourself.
