Thanks for looking up my profile! I see organisations and leaders want to communicate in a way that their audience remembers and be inspired enough to take action. But not always everyone is able to do that, while a few of them do it well. The difference, stories, and the way it is told – storytelling. Over the course of my professional journey, I have realised that storytelling in business is a powerful tool for organisations and leaders. It has helped me in my sales and marketing roles. My business narratives are shaped by a deep understanding of the business world combined with my experience in leading marketing, supporting leaders in crafting their communication and employer branding over the last 15+ years. I was awarded by the US Consulate in Chennai for a blog on US – India relations (www.harleymangotango.wordpress.com). The name of the blog also got me some brownie points. I have spoken at Indian Institute of Technology Madras in their start-up events, VIT University, TA Pai Management Institute and my thought leadership on marketing and telecom industry are published in Economic Times – Brand Equity, ET Telecom, Yourstory Media, Start-up Business News, Entrepreneur, Voice and Data Magazine. I love business thrillers, no wonder John Grisham and Ravi Subramanian are my favourite authors in fiction. In non-fiction, I enjoy reading Morgan Housel, Adam Grant, Shiv Shivakumar and Mihir Dalal to name a few. More recently, my thoughts are shaped by Dr Paul Kalanithi’s When Breath Becomes Air and Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning. I enjoy conversations around marketing, books, writing, new themes emerging in the business world, personal finance, stock markets, kids and parenting! During my school and college days, I was passionate about quizzing, and that inquisitiveness to learn and read about new things is a trait I carry to this day.
