Three passions have shaped my journey as a business leader over the last three decades: solving complex business problems; creating environments of deep inclusion and building cultures that embrace lifelong learning and reinvention, including ensuring the new skills the world needs.

As a global executive who has led business transformations on four continents, I have a proven track record for developing and implementing strategies for profitable growth and increasing shareholder value in global technology, logistics, travel and consumer sectors. 

I am currently Executive Chair and Founding Trustee for the impact start-up, Mission Beyond. I am an Advisory Board Member for digital consultancy Red Badger, and an Ambassador for Every Child Needs a Mentor.

As CEO & Chair of IBM Asia Pacific, I was responsible for driving change and leading some of IBM's highest priority and most strategic business initiatives focused on helping clients unlock value from the massive amount of data within their organisations using the latest technology including AI, Cloud, Blockchain, Cyber, IOT etc. Previously, I was IBM's General Manager for Watson Internet of Things, Commerce and Education. Prior to this, I was CEO of the Thomas Cook Group, leading the global transformation and rebranding of the leisure travel company.

I received my OBE for services to electronics in 2010. In 2016 I was invited to join the Women in IT Hall of Fame (WITI), and in 2019 I was named one of Fortune's Most Powerful Women Internationally. Most recently LinkedIn named me a Top Voice, one of the UK’s Top Ten Influencers.

In the huge vortex of change we are experiencing, including health, economy, politics, climate and technology I foresee that 2021 will be a year to continue work on diversity and inclusion – age, sex, colour, creed, sexuality, physical and cognitive abilities. I have been active in championing these areas for over 30 years.

Providing clinical expertise and advice to a pilot of an global payment system of bundled payments to providers for their care of high risk asthma patients. The goal of this is to improve outcomes and reduce cost through improved preventative care, enhanced care coordination, and through education of caregivers. 

MassHealth Pediatric Asthma Bundled Payment Pilot

I provide clinical expertise to the MassHealth Initiative on Primary Care Payment Reform (PCPRI). This is one of several legislatively mandated alternative payment method pilots in the MassHealth program. 

The goal of the MassHealth Primary Care Payment Reform initiative is to improve access to primary care, enhance patient experience, quality, and efficiency through care management and coordination, and to integrate behavioral health care with primary care.

Co-led design, implementation, and evaluation of evidenced based guideline (EBG) on diagnosis and treatment of acute pharyngitis in an emergency department setting.

Served as content expert on national workgroup convened by National Center for Medical Home Implementation. We designed ACGME-compliant curriculum on medical home to be disseminated to all pediatric residencies in the country.

Contributed to design of electronic discharge template to facilitate complete, timely, and coordinated discharge communication with community pediatricians.

CHAMPS Discharge Optimization project

I led the design and implementation of the use of hypertonic saline for all inpatient pediatric patients at Winchester Hospital. This included developing the protocol, obtaining pharmacy approval, educating respiratory therapists and nurses, and overseeing implentation.

Served as expert reviewer of Title V funded curriculum development by Connecticut Department of Public Health. The curriculum, focused on the CYSCHN population, was designed to educate providers and families on the concept of the medical home and on resources  throughout the state.
