Vary has over 20 years of experience in providing consultancy and production across digital media, digital marketing and e-commerce. He has been managing and growing digital agency iFoundries, which prides itself on successful case studies built with top brands and organisations like Honda (KAH Motor), Riot Games, China Taiping Insurance, ComfortDelGro, SingPost, Goodrich Global, National Crime Prevention Council, NUS, Collin's and more. He strives to be a visionary, being able to develop and implement strategies that will benefit the company in terms of sustainability and growth. He believes his business must benefit people he works with regardless customers, employees or partners, by helping one another to grow; because greatness can only be measured by what he do for others. Since young, Vary has been eager in putting together things to sell. He sold self-edited "mini-magazines" in primary school (by consolidating contributed articles and crosswords puzzles, printed from the school's photocopier), compiled rich media CDs and ran a fashion e-commerce website (The Concept Shop) to name a few. He was greatly inspired by the book "The E-Myth Revisited" by Michael E. Gerber before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey. Having his first taste of the internet industry shortly before the dot.com bubble burst, Vary acquired substantial hands-on experience in various fields of this fast-paced industry, from e-learning, e-commerce, web development to online marketing. In 2005, he decided to stop pursuing a degree from UOL during the second year of study, to fully take advantage of the strong demand for developing websites for businesses under his freelance setup "Neuplay Creative". However, as a lifelong learning advocate he has never stop learning; most recently achieved the WSQ Advanced Certification in Learning and Performance (ACLP) in 2020. The exposure from running his own web development business led Vary into joining iFoundries in 2006, and later took on the role of managing director. With the help of a great team, iFoundries grew from a $400k to an annual 7-figure turnover agency business. iFoundries was successfully acquired by U.S. based agency Atypical Digital in December 2023. FUN FACT: Vary also co-founded Singapore’s first location-based online dating portal WhoWorksAroundYou.com in 2007 which helped singles find dates conveniently around their workplace. It garnered more than 3,000 registered members within a few months of public launch. The project was seed-funded and accredited by the Singapore government agency SDN.
