In the initial years it was because of passion but with experience and self-awareness, it became a choice.

What impressed me most wasn’t just the scale of the campus or the programs.
It was the curiosity in the room.

Senior faculty members, professors & assistant professors sitting with pen and paper, asking questions, taking notes, and genuinely engaging with every discussion. 
That level of openness to learn, especially at such experienced levels, is rare and inspiring.

Another thing that stood out was their strong learn-and-practice culture.
Across the campus, students weren’t just studying concepts, they were applying them live. I walked past a student-run café where hospitality students were Organising, serving, and managing operations themselves. It was real learning in motion.

When education meets execution, the impact is different.
And when educators stay curious, the ecosystem only gets stronger.

One powerful moment: seeing an 8-year-old speaking forward-thinking ideas on AI.
That alone tells you how rapidly the future is arriving.

Most businesses don’t stagnate because they lack ambition.

What separates successful Web3 founders from those who fail?

It comes down to one thing: solving real problems, not chasing trends.

The best founders I've seen don't lead with the technology. They lead with the problem. They can clearly articulate why Web3 is the RIGHT solution, not just a trendy one.

Here's what sets them apart:

They see beyond the numbers. Yes, ROI and revenue matter. But at step one, they ask: Does this technology genuinely solve the problem we care about?

They know when NOT to use Web3. Some problems are better solved with existing tech. The strongest founders can objectively evaluate whether blockchain is worth the investment and time, or if there's a faster path to similar results.

They self-correct. They can step back, set Web3 aside, and look at the problem and solution objectively. The tech should serve the solution, not the other way around.

These founders stick around during the tough times. When funding dries up and adoption is slow, they persevere because they're driven by the problem, not the hype.

If you're building in Web3, ask yourself: Are you solving a real problem, or are you using blockchain as a marketing tactic?

The answer will determine whether you build something that lasts.

After the session at FITT, IIT Delhi, two students came forward to share what they took away from it.

Moments like these quietly remind you why you do what you do.

It’s never just about delivering a lecture.
It’s about whether something shifts.
A thought. A perspective. A direction.

When students step up and speak about how a session impacted them, it reinforces the purpose behind the effort.

Impact isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it’s just two honest reflections that make the journey worth it.

Grateful for conversations like these, they encourage me to keep building, keep sharing, and keep contributing.

The biggest mistake companies make with Web3? Assuming they already know it.

I've seen this pattern repeat across organizations of all sizes. Teams think: "We've built systems before. We have smart people. This will be easy."

That mindset leads to expensive failures.

Here's the reality: Web3 adoption needs a structured approach. We use a 4-phase framework:

Phase 1: Foundation
Build genuine understanding. Partner with people who are building in Web3. Work with consultants who know the space. Don't skip this step.

Phase 2: Strategy
Determine how Web3 fits your specific business model. Not every use case makes sense.

Phase 3: Implementation
Integrate Web3 into your production cycle and product development. Aim for 80-90% efficiency before moving forward.

Phase 4: Scaling
Expand across departments and products. Only start this when the first three phases are solid.

The companies that succeed are the ones that acknowledge what they don't know. They bring in expertise. They build foundations before they scale.

Jeff Bezos said something powerful, you need a combination of stubbornness and flexibility.

Stubborn about the vision.
Flexible about the details.

That balance is where real building happens.

If you’re not stubborn about the bigger picture, you’ll quit too early.
If you’re not flexible about execution, you’ll break before you adapt.

Over time, I’ve realised this is true for every serious product and every serious founder.
The vision keeps you anchored.
The flexibility keeps you relevant.

As you move forward, many assumptions will prove wrong.
Markets shift. Customers respond differently. Plans evolve.

But the core question remains:
Are you committed to the outcome or just attached to your original idea?

Building something meaningful requires both conviction and correction.

Nvidia’s CEO put it bluntly:
AI won’t take your job.
But someone using AI will.

The same applies to businesses.
The gap won’t be between big and small anymore.

It’ll be between those who integrate AI thoughtfully and those who delay it.
Using AI aggressively doesn’t mean replacing everything overnight.

It means understanding where it strengthens decisions, speeds up execution, and removes friction from daily operations.

• Understand WHY Web3 fits your solution before building

When you grasp the underlying technology, those marketing and product-fit concerns resolve themselves. You'll know exactly who needs your solution and why.

Don't build on Web3 because it's trendy. Build on it because you understand how it solves a real problem.

Two critical mistakes I see Web3 founders make in 2026:

First, building products that don't solve real problems. I've watched teams pour resources into marketing, branding, and development only to face empty user adoption. The result? Energy drain, motivation loss, and potential brand damage. The market won't wait for technology that doesn't address actual pain points.

Second, ignoring geographic market realities. Your product lives on the internet, but your users and favorable regulations don't exist everywhere equally. Too many founders build first and ask "where's our market?" later.

The fix is simple but not easy:

• Validate the problem before building the solution
• Map regulatory landscapes early in your strategy
• Identify where your actual users are located, not where you assume they are
• Match your go-to-market approach to regions with supportive frameworks

In 2026, Web3 success isn't about having the most advanced tech. It's about solving real problems for real people in markets ready to adopt.
