Around 2016-17, I was first introduced to SQL as a part of my BSc. curriculum. In that time period, I learned the concepts like select, from, where, update, alter, drop etc. and basics of join. 

After learning these basic concepts, I thought that I have become a "Pro" in SQL. But little did I know that it was just the tip of an ice-berg. 🙃
 
Now in my journey of evolving as a data analyst, the more I am learning SQL the more I am realizing that yet there are so much to unlearn & learn; not only to solve problems but also to solve them in the most optimized way possible.

And what does the N stand for?

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐐𝐋 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Given a reviews table, write a query to retrieve the average star rating for each product, grouped by month.

The output should display the month as a numerical value, product ID, and average star rating rounded to two decimal places.

Sort the output first by month and then by product ID.

𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐬:
•review_id        (integer)
•user_id         (integer)
•submit_date  (datetime)
•product_id    (integer)
•stars        (integer (1-5))

The question is asking for the month in the output, but we don't have a month column in the reviews table.

So, use a code snippet like this:

SELECT EXTRACT(MONTH FROM submit_date) AS mth
FROM reviews;

To round the average star rating to 2 decimal places, try this:
