Een interessante middag bij Active Ants Nederland B.V.: De toekomst van Cross-border E-commerce logistiek ontdekken.

Wat een inspirerende middag bij Active Ants in Nieuwegein, waar Dennis Raadschelders ons hartelijk ontving voor een exclusieve rondleiding! Het hoogtepunt? Natuurlijk zonder twijfel de Autostore – een sterk staaltje van efficiëntie en innovatie dat ons allemaal interesseerden en enthousiast op de foto werd gezet. Bekijk de foto’s maar en zie vooral de indrukwekkende schaal van deze autostore.

Maar ons bezoek draaide niet alleen om het bewonderen van de autostore en bezoeken van Active Ants; het ging om het grondig verkennen van de uitdagingen en kansen die cross-border en het daarbij horende e-commerce-landschap vormen. Vandaag hebben we samen met de gewaardeerde experts van ShoppingTomorrow - Thuiswinkel.org onze onderzoeksvraag aangepakt:

Is het mogelijk om binnen slechts 6 weken maar liefst 6 nieuwe Europese e-commerce landen aan te sluiten en live te zetten?

Voorafgaand aan onze brainstormsessie hebben we elk nagedacht over de mogelijke struikelblokken, als basis voor een vruchtbare discussie. Van het stroomlijnen van processen tot het navigeren door regelgeving, elk aspect werd nauwkeurig onderzocht.

Mooi om te zien dat de synergie tussen de deelnemers voelbaar is, waardoor onze korte maar efficiënte bijeenkomst erg  productief was. Sommigen van ons moesten aan het einde direct weer door naar de uitreiking van de Shopping Awards in Huis ter Duin, maar hierdoor was het ook meteen een efficiënte bijeenkomst.

De volgende datum staat al weer genoteerd op 18 april voor onze volgende afspraak, waar we een bezoek aan Decathlon zullen brengen. Ik kijk er al weer naar uit.

Een fantastische locatie: de Decathlon Flagship store! 

Wat een geweldige ervaring was het om onze derde bijeenkomst van ShoppingTomorrow - Thuiswinkel.org te houden in de prachtige Decathlon Flagship store in Amsterdam-Zuidoost!

We werden verwelkomd met een boeiende rondleiding door de winkel, verzorgd door Stijn Doensen. Het was inspirerend om te zien hoe Decathlon zich ontwikkelt, vooral na de recente rebranding die nu duidelijk zichtbaar is in de winkel. Bovendien zijn er zuilen geïnstalleerd om de omnichannel-ervaring te verbeteren, waardoor het aanbod vanuit de marketplaces ook in de winkel wordt weergegeven.

Decathlon is inmiddels actief in 70 landen en heeft een indrukwekkend warehouse in Tilburg. Het Nederlandse hoofdkantoor bevindt zich nu enkele honderden meters verderop, omdat het niet meer in de winkel past.

Na de rondleiding hebben we onze bijeenkomst voortgezet in het Decathlon HQ voor onze derde sprint. Tijdens deze sessie hebben we waardevolle inzichten gedeeld en besproken hoe we ons onderzoeksprogramma van ShoppingTomorrow verder kunnen ontwikkelen, met als centraal thema het versneld opschalen van crossborder activiteiten.

Onze expertgroep heeft vanuit verschillende invalshoeken gekeken naar logistiek, marketing, finance en juridische aspecten om tot een origineel eindproduct en presentatie van de uitkomsten te komen.

We zijn erg enthousiast over de richting die we zijn ingeslagen en kijken uit naar de volgende sessies en onze eindpresentatie tijdens Shopping Today op 12 oktober.
