Being myself in a role as account manager, SDR, Account Executive, Sales Manager, Head of Sales and Chief Commercial Officer I have seen sales being personal, but with the introduction of technology it became more โspray and prayโ. However nowadays it is back to a more personal approach, with supporting technology like video, social media channels. The question is how can you combine the best practices over the years in a modern suitable approach. I believe that the โgo-getterโ, โcan-doโ and โbeing yourselfโ mentality, combined with the technology available is part of the success. The other part can be trained, but differs per individual. With that said I believe that sales reps need professional support to succeed in the role. Sales reps that succeed in combination with proper reporting tools will set your organisation up for success. My experience in working in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and the Middle East allows me to help organisations liaising with different cultures and buying processes.
