<> This has always been a lie. 
<> If you are good. Show it. Prove it. 
<> Engagement drives people to you.

Here’s how LinkedIn has rewired my brain.


I woke up at 9 am yesterday. 

Realizing I forgot to schedule a post, I quickly rumbled out of bed. 

For some reason, I was too anxious. 

How could I have forgotten to schedule a post?

While getting up, I knocked over a couple of things.

One of those is my bottle of water. 

I hit my wrist hard on it. It hurts. 

And suddenly, I wake up from my sleep. 

I am confused and check the time. 

It’s barely 7 in the morning. 

And there’s a loud sigh escaping me. 

Neither is it of relief, nor realization. 

It was clear, fury & frustration. 

That sort of reaction is not normal. 

This is how social media impacts us. 

It has sunken into my deep consciousness. 

And I will admit, it is very unhealthy. 

This shouldn’t happen to anyone. 

I don’t understand why, but I felt like sharing this.

Too inclined to work that it knocked the wind out of you?

What are your tips to help me rise from this?

I adjust my desk and sit in front of my laptop. 

It’s post dinner time now. 

I need to get on a call with a founder. 

I have been working with him for 2 months now. 

He has a very innovative, new startup under him. 

And I ghostwrite for his LinkedIn profile. 

He has a vast amount of knowledge. 

But never really is able to articulate it. 

I often record our convos and relisten to write. 

But that also has to do with his timings. 

He is very hard to get on a call. 

Or barely reverts to his text messages. 

So as soon as he gets free:

I just jump on the opportunity. 

But it becomes so difficult at times. 

Today, I have weeks of content lined up. 

I just need his 5 minutes to approve them. 

I have been following up for 3 questions for 9 days now. 

As I wait now, ready, with my timeline fixed:

He doesn’t show up again. 

What issues do you face working with a busy founder?

3 weeks ago, I was not able to move due to a calf-injury. 


My practice & constant hard work went down the drain. 

Or so I thought. 

When I returned a couple of days back, 

I came with the cleanest techniques & strokes of my playing life. 

I realized that sometimes in order to get better, we simple need to stop and breathe.
