Not my usual Monday post,

but after this weekend...

I couldn’t help but share.

We took a break from work to celebrate my sister’s wedding..

and while the day was all about celebrating her, 

it also reminded me how grateful I am for this man beside me.

Through the chaos of getting six kids ready, 

the travel, 

and all the little moments in between, 

he’s my constant: calm, steady, and always finding a way to make everything easier.

It’s funny how events like these make you pause and appreciate the quiet partnership that keeps everything running behind the scenes.

“Exact match is better for ranking.”

MYTH

You can scale with broad match or auto.
If those clicks turn into real orders,
your rank still goes up.

The real problem isn’t match type,
it’s how Amazon spends your money.

Here’s what happens:

→ You raise a bid from $0.50 to $1.00, hoping it goes to one keyword.
→ Amazon says “thanks,”
and spreads it across a bunch of other spots you didn’t want.

It feels like the casino.
You think you’re in control,
but the game is tilted.

So how do you “scale smart”?

Stop the budget bleed:
→ Split campaigns by match type
→ Keep hero keywords on their own
→ Use negatives to block waste

That way, your extra $0.50 goes where you want...
not where Amazon feels like putting it.

Whether you want to run the levers yourself

the point is the same: they do get pulled.

→ Lower those Prime Day budgets you cranked up.
→Bring back your usual test campaigns.
→ Focus on keeping visibility steady. Not scaling like crazy.

Basically, 

go back to your pre-Prime Day rhythm.

You don’t need to fight the algorithm every five minutes.

Let performance settle, then guide it gently back on track.

I need to address something I keep seeing during Amazon launches…

Over the last couple of weeks, 

I’ve reviewed multiple accounts...

the same issue keeps popping up.

Sellers are sabotaging their own launches without realizing it.

Here’s the pattern:

👉 Sales ramp up nicely in the first month
👉 Month two hits and performance nosedives
👉 Everyone starts pointing fingers or blaming the “honeymoon phase” 😤

The real problem?

They start optimizing for profitability way too early.

Your ad data updates slowly, but your sales update right away.
If your sales are going up, add more budget.
If total sales are up, spending more on ads won’t hurt your TACoS.

Don’t raise bids on every keyword, it wastes money.

Lately, I’ve been wondering where people like us network.

People who love building businesses, but also love their quiet lives.

Who still have big goals, but living at a steady, peaceful pace.

Who find joy in simplicity, family, and freedom. And aren’t trying to fit someone else’s version of success.

We live outside the city, next to a national forest.

We’ve got 100 acres, tiny houses, and a tiki hut by the pool.

We homeschool our 6 kids, we eat clean, and focus on long-term stability through rental properties and investments.

I love this life. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

And it’s not that I have anything against travel or city life or big dreams.

Honestly, I think it’s incredible that people can build businesses while exploring the world and living at that pace.

That life just doesn’t recharge me.

I’ve learned I thrive on rhythm.

Quiet mornings, deep work, barefoot walks in nature, and movie nights with my family.

But what I’ve noticed is that when you live this way, it can be harder to find others who are walking a similar entrepreneurial path.

The people near me often live slower lives without the business drive.

And the people with that drive often live lives that would drain me.

So I’m curious…
