Time for some SEO 101

There are different types of keywords

- General - fewer words with higher traffic (wedding venue in [city])
- Long-tail  - more words with lower traffic (Rustic barnyard wedding venue in [city])

Which would I recommend?

Long-tail, hands down: 

- There's less competition
- The traffic is much higher intent, and way more likely to turn into a lead. 

Is there a wrong way to do long-tail keywords?

yup

The most common way I've seen is to list your venue as:
- Best ever wedding venue
- Best wedding venue 
- Top-rated wedding venue

The problem is - those words are:
- Subjective
- Hyper competitive 
- Typically result in wedding venue directories appearing in results

There's a better way: 

- Describe who your venue's for 🤯 

[descriptor] wedding venue in [city]

Things like: 
- Modern industrial wedding venue
- Modern rustic wedding venue
- Rustic destination  wedding venue

Those will let your potential guests know if you're even worth looking into.
