Here is what we are seeing across the Amazon brands we work with. Starting January 26, 2026, FBM sellers get four calendar days after a return arrives before Amazon issues an automatic refund. The old rule allowed two business days.

This adds time to inspect returns, but risk shifts to sellers. 📦 If Amazon auto refunds after four days, SAFE-T reimbursement usually goes away. Exceptions stay limited to lost returns or delivery errors outside seller control.

Refund at First Scan stays. Amazon confirmed this. RFS still applies when Amazon issues prepaid return labels. The change only affects returns without RFS. Many sellers previously waited for auto refunds, then filed SAFE-T claims. That option is fading.

Seller feedback tells a different story than the policy framing. Teams now face tighter operational pressure, especially after peak volume.

Here is what we do for our clients. We shorten return intake cycles, monitor FBM returns daily, and enforce Guided Refund workflows so grading and evidence uploads happen fast.

Agentic commerce is about to change Amazon traffic, and most brands aren’t prepared 🚨

Here’s what we’re seeing across the Amazon brands we work with: shoppers are no longer just humans scrolling a homepage or swayed by a campaign. Increasingly, they start with a prompt to an AI assistant. They ask it to “find a black organic cotton tee under $40” or “a gift that ships by Friday.”

These AI agents don’t browse, don’t engage with product photography, and don’t respond to storytelling. They evaluate products purely on structured data, policies, fulfillment reliability, and performance. A missing attribute, inconsistent detail, or incomplete inventory can mean your product never gets recommended. And if the agent doesn’t recommend it, humans never see it.

Holiday sales held steady despite tariff pressure. Online spending kept growing predictably. Across the brands we support, we saw the same trend. Shoppers kept buying. Sellers who focused on basics won.

Cyber Monday reached 14.25 billion, up slightly from last year. Black Friday hit 11.8 billion. Full season forecasts point to steady mid single-digit growth. Tariffs were high, yet shopper behavior stayed stable. Some seller workarounds softened the hit, but the deeper story is clear: e-commerce is mature.

The past decade felt chaotic. Mobile adoption surged in 2017. Pandemic lockdowns reshaped demand in 2020. Supply chain issues hit in 2021. Since 2022, growth has settled at 5 to 10 percent. Across our portfolio, we see the same steady pattern. No big shocks. No sharp drops. Buyers move online steadily.

Black Friday pulled more online volume again, and early deals now span the month. Mobile drove most transactions 📱 E-commerce reached its prior peak share of retail. This time buyers choose online for convenience, not crisis.

As 2026 started, three states rolled out new privacy rules that affect B2B ecommerce. Many sellers still treat privacy as a consumer issue. Your data flows say otherwise. 🔍

Here is what we are seeing across the ecommerce brands we work with. B2B platforms collect personal signals every day. Work emails. IP addresses. Device data. Usage logs. When those signals link to real people in certain states, new rules apply.

Indiana now requires businesses that handle personal data of large numbers of residents to honor rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out from targeted ads, data sharing, and automated profiling. Kentucky has similar coverage with specific definitions for biometric data and procedural steps. Rhode Island also grants these rights and defines “sale” broadly to include analytics and advertising data sharing. Business buyers sit inside scope.

Across the Amazon brands we work with, patterns are shifting. Shoppers show up sooner and come with tighter shortlists. They skim fewer options and act faster once they decide. We are already updating listings, fine-tuning PPC, and reshaping strategies to keep pace with how buyers move from browsing to checkout. 🛒

Discounts stayed strong, but they barely moved from last year. The story was not bigger promos. The story was how people paid. More shoppers leaned on split payments and credit for electronics, apparel, toys, and furniture. Financing use rose again. Risk rose with it. Early data points to higher default rates next. 💳
