Overcoming limiting beliefs in the workplace is often referred to as "mindset" work - yet our conscious mind is a very small part of what shows up for us in day to day life.  It is our sub-conscious mind that is running the show as it accounts for around 90-95% of our daily actions.  

After my own midlife frustrations and feeling stuck, I transformed my life  when I understood what had been driving my thoughts, beliefs and behaviour patterns.  I felt free.  As a result, I am now passionate about helping my clients to understand how to free themselves from their subconscious patterns, ignite their full purpose and potential and live a calmer, happier, more abundant and stress free life with deeper connections.

After 25 years in Corporate IT and digital marketing, I found myself feeling misaligned and unhappy with what I was doing.

To the outside world, things looked great - happily married with 2 children and a chocolate labrador and a good job - I had a lot to be grateful for, but I couldn't stop this feeling that I was here for more.

I have a theory that when you don't pay attention to the feelings and the gentle nudges from the Universe that things are not right, then you will get an almighty shake up.  And that's exactly what happened and without the details, suffice to say that I suffered Anxiety for the first time in my life. Without knowing it, we carry around an awful lot of 'baggage' in the form of non-serving thoughts, feelings and beliefs about ourself in our subconscious mind that can really hold us back. 2017 – Was a year of LOSS. Loss of my job, loss of my best friend, loss of my Dad..… and I felt like I was losing my mind as I couldn’t seem to find my purpose.

2024 – 6 Years qualified as Advanced RTT Therapist, Clinical hypnotherapist, NLP and Transformation Coach, helped hundreds of clients to transform their life and loving life.

Could I EVER have imagined that?

Absolutely NOT – at least not from the place I was in during 2017.

I couldn’t have imagined retraining from scratch at 52.
I couldn’t have imagined becoming a Therapist  after 27 years in corporate IT because the potential didn’t even exist in my mind.

But I decided to believe that all I had to do was take the first step…..any step….. with faith, and that the next steps would become apparent.

And that’s exactly what happened.  

So when the going gets tough – just KNOW that it’s temporary.
And if you can’t see the way forwards yet, instead of allowing yourself to sink into despair, just have faith and keep your eyes open for the opportunity.

It’s always there.

𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞:
I went to see Elizabeth Gilbert (author of "𝘌𝘢𝘵, 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘺, 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦") speak at the Barbican  this week and the focus for her talk was simply "Love".

She described an upbringing where she was not shown love -  and she described the deep depression that can set in when you believe you are not worthy of love.

Many may know the story of "𝑬𝒂𝒕, 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒚, 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆" but few would know what came before that where Elizabeth was divorced and felt let down and took herself off to a very remote island lying somewhere on the equator to try to find some meaning in her life as the destructive voices in her head were taking over.

The island was small enough to walk all the way round in an hour so she did this every morning and every evening whilst spending the rest of the time in solitude without any form of communication with the "outside" world.

Each day on her walks she saw a beautiful woman with a small child who didn't speak English, she came out of her house each day, twice a day to see her and they acknowledged each other with a small head bow and a hand on their hearts.

One day Elizabeth got very sick, so sick she could not even get to the small shop for water - and those hours and days she spent being violently ill, the voices in her head were winning, and as her body started to dehydrate, she felt that she was going to die there on her own.

Out of the blue there was a knock on the door of the small hut she was staying in and it was the woman who had missed seeing her on her walks and who had sensed she needed to try and find her on the island.

What happened next was beautiful.
She went to get food and water and sat with her, fed her and just held her whilst she was in the throws of fever, whilst she cried and whilst much of the fear, anger and sadness from her life was melted away with the love and care from a complete stranger.   

Elizabeth said this was the first time she had felt unconditional love.

The story was of course much longer and she did come back a couple of years later to see the woman bringing beautiful gifts for her, but she said there was no gift as beautiful as what that young woman did for her.

Love heals.  
Depression is when we cannot find love in ourselves - only sadness.

Her message was loud and clear 'though.  
You really CAN change your life when you change your inner beliefs about who you are.

And this is what I help my clients do too. 💖

Monday Motivation
Stop worrying about the things you CAN'T control and focus on the things you can - you'll save yourself a LOT of undue stress.

𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐞:  Could this be why you're struggling to sell your product, to move forwards in your business or to have more success in your relationships and your life?

💥 Fear of rejection. 💥 

Pretty much 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 has this (subconscious) fear at some point, but it's especially prevalent and an underlying sabotaging pattern for those who are trying to move forwards and seem to be stuck.

It may show up as:

- people pleasing or overgiving in relationships
- worrying what others think all the time
- fear of selling
- taking offence and criticism or comments too personally 
- ruminating all the time about past events and what you "𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥" have said"
- holding yourself back from 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 success incase it offends others
- being very "vanilla" in your opinions incase you receive negativity

A recent client came to me feeling like she lacked confidence in her business and she felt that it was this, that was holding her back.  

(I knew that this wasn't the real reason.)

In our initial consultation I asked her a few questions about her childhood which is always very revealing.

She disclosed that her Mum had been very young when she had her and her two siblings.  The Father was rarely at home.

In our 1:1 session, her subconscious mind revealed the sadness at seeing her Mum unable to meet her needs in two different scenes from her childhood.  

She started to "swallow" her emotions and take comfort in food and gained weight.  This created another very damaging belief, that she was now 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 to the rest of her family and felt like she didn't fit in.

Once at school, this belief was proved to be right as she was bullied for her weight and her mind made another reaffirming and catastrophic belief that would affect her for the rest of my life.

"𝘐𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘦".

Her Mum had 3 children at just 23 years old and my client came to another damaging belief that would also affect her:

"𝘐 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦".  

𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 and feeling like you 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 will all cause a sabotaging pattern of behaviour in your business, your relationships and your life.

Our mind MUST act in accordance with our beliefs - but most of us don't know what our 𝒔𝒖𝒃𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 beliefs are.

Once we know the root cause of the the limiting beliefs we are working with - they are easy to reframe or release.

The difference between getting good results  versus getting GREAT results.....

Have you ever tried to change something in your life, only to do so, but about 3 months later, things start to shift back to the old ways?  (Maybe even sooner!)

I know I have in my own life.   And I could never understand why.

But knowing what I know now.....I realise that you can be coached through a behaviour change, you can uplevel your knowledge for a skill change, you can change your environment which might get rid of a person, place or thing......

BUT.....

Without making change at the 𝑰𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍 (your core beliefs) and how you see yourself - then those changes will be temporary.  But many of these core beliefs that are running our life...came from our childhood!!

Here's just a few examples of what I mean.....

💥 You can free yourself from a bad relationship, but you won't be able to build a new relationship that you truly desire on a core belief that "𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦", or "𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦" or "𝘐'𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥".

💥 You can move jobs to be free of a boss who you always seem to work so hard for and yet not be recognised, but you will start to bring about the same thing at a new role if you hold on to a core belief that "𝘐𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯".

💥 You will struggle to have a lot of success in your life when you hold a deep belief that you are not worthy, or you are not enough.

💥 You will struggle to lose weight and keep it off, if you have a core belief that you need a layer of protection from unwanted advances from bullies or sexual predators

💥 You will feel inner resistance trying to speak in public, or being very visible in your business if you hold a deep fear of rejection.

💥 You will find it hard to make a lot of money if you hold a core belief that "𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘥" or "𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺" or "𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨"

And this is the difference between getting good results and GREAT results with my clients.

Do you know what you want?  
Or do you spend most of your day thinking about what you DON'T want?

BIG difference

HUGE!

When you focus on what you DON'T want you are training your mind that this is important to you.  But energetically, it means you are giving focus and energy to THAT thing that is NOT what you want.

Which attracts more of the same thing that you don't want.

When you visualise what you DO want - when you visualise your dreams and goals and imagine all the details of what that end result might look like AND (more importantly) what that might feeeeel like - then you are training your mind to know that it's not only possible for you, but energetically you are 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘷𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵.

Which means that if you do this consistently you 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 attract it.

Try it (but be consistent with it) 😊

A really interesting observation I've made about the women I've worked with in my Practice compared to the men....

When women are struggling with an aspect of their life and they can see something is not working, they are MUCH more likely than men to turn that 𝘪𝘯𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴!

In effect.... 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 themself for not being able to make it work and believing that there must be something inherently wrong with them.

The strange thing is.....that the root cause of the unwanted patterns for men AND women is always the same.

(Which is all linked to the beliefs we made about ourselves in our childhood as a result of what was going on around us at the time.)

0-7 years old are our "Programming" years and we form thoughts, beliefs, coping mechanisms and behaviour patterns that will create our Identity, which creates the blueprint for our life.

So why do women blame and shame themselves more than men?  🤔 

So here's a tip for the ladies.

When something doesn't go quite the way you planned - and maybe you see a pattern....

Just bring it into your awareness with 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 and 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 animosity, blame, shame or fear.

Notice it, and notice 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 it happens - your mind TRULY believes it has your best interest at heart, so there should be NO blame or shame.

Your mind will be creating this self sabotaging pattern for pretty much two reasons ONLY:

- it's not safe for you to have this
- you are not worthy of having this

Based on beliefs YOU created as a child.

So be kind to yourself - be curious about where this sabotaging behaviour might originate from and DM me if you get stuck with this.

💥  Taken 4 cohorts of incredible women through my 6 month coaching program
💥  Been invited to Dubai to train new students on one of the protocols that I use in my Practice


And I know that I am 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 in the drivers seat of my life......

But I have 𝘯𝘰 idea what’s coming next because I’m having so much fun saying “𝘠𝘦𝘴” to anything that feels in 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭𝘴 and how I want to feel and show up in my life.


𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫 – 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲.

💥 When you feel "safe" you will notice that you no longer feel the need to be in control of everything


💥 When you feel safe in your body, it frees up all the energy that was in involved in keeping you on high alert, so that you can use it for creativity, goals,  learning new skills etc


💥 When you feel safe in your body, you no longer worry about what others think


💥 When you feel safe in your body, you feel in flow with life


💥 When you feel safe in your body you are calm and focused on the 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 (the ONLY place that you can make lasting change)


It's why it's the first thing I look at when doing transformational work with my clients.


𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬......𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 '𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬' 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆.

Pure and simple.

8 years ago I was feeling unfulfilled.  A part of me felt like I was not really 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 my life.  There was nothing wrong on the surface, but I kept finding myself thinking "....𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵?

And then I felt bad for thinking that because I had so much to be grateful for.

When I look back now, I can see it was an awakening.

Because the truth is....if you are starting to wonder about this too, then actually you ARE here for more.

You just may not know what that looks like yet..... (like I didn't!).

I realised that what I was doing for my job just didn't feel aligned to anything I was feeling inside.  I had a deep calling to do something more, but I had no idea what to do or how to even think about retraining and starting from scratch again.

I found it all overwhelming......so I did nothing.

And that year became one of the worst years of my life, that I now look back on with such compassion for what I went through.

But the truth is - it doesn't have to be like that.

If you are feeling:
- misaligned to what you're doing
- a calling to do something more fulfilling and more impactful
- a yearning for deeper connections
- fed up with repeating the same patterns & feeling like it's groundhog day
- you're struggling with low confidence, anxiety, procrastination......
- that you just want MORE

Then you're ready for the next stage of your life.  
You just need to clear out some of the limiting beliefs that are keeping you feeling weighed down.

Because the truth is .....most of your beliefs that form your Identity are not even yours.

6 Ways you're sabotaging 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 from having more in your life that you may not even realise.....

1) You keep saying things like:
- there's not enough time
- it's alright for them....but not for me because....
- I'm not good enough/worthy enough/pretty enough.....etc
- I don't have enough (money / talent) to do that
- I'm not as good as (someone else)

2) You worry about what others say or think about you 


3) You're living your life trying to do things that please others all the time (parents/spouse/friends) and not doing what you truly want to do. 


4) You find yourself judging or criticising others frequently.....
Trying to put others down is a way of trying to make yourself feel better.....which means you have a self esteem problem


5) You struggle or feel uncomfortable receiving compliments, favours, or support.  
When we struggle to "receive" we will also struggle to receive money, success, love.

Chasing external goals and trying to make some big changes in your life without doing the 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒇𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒖𝒃𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒇 𝒔𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎 is like chasing shadows. 


Try this instead:

✅ - Bring awareness to the area of your life you want to change

✅ - Notice the habits, the patterns and the inner dialogue that is going on in that area that you want to change

✅ - Delve deeper and note down the 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧𝘴 you have created about yourself in this area

✅ - Be curious about where, or rather WHO those thoughts, beliefs and habits might have come from  (think about your parents,  your peer group, your wider family or teacher when you were a child)

✅ - Notice that those beliefs are NOT EVEN YOURS and (importantly) if they are negative, they are definitely NOT true about you!

✅ - Now think about what you would 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 in order for the change that you want to be true

✅  - Choose that!! 

✅ - Start taking inspired action from this new Identity you just created - from 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒇𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 as if you already had what you want.

✅ - Repeat until these NEW actions become the 'familiar' habits.
