Monaco is more than just a glamorous backdrop for superyachts—it's a hub that sets new benchmarks for our industry. I feel lucky to live here........... Two harbours—Port Hercule and Port Fontvieille—make Monaco a unique destination. Port Hercule handles megayachts up to 135 metres. That’s rare on the Côte d’Azur. Over 400 specialist companies and more than 1,400 people are employed here. Yachting isn’t just a pastime. It’s a real economic engine for the principality. When major events roll in, the scale is off the charts. The Monaco GP is coming soon, and during those four days, the price of a berth at Port Hercule can reach eye-watering sums. But owners still queue up for that front-row seat. Every September, the Monaco Yacht Show is the place to be. One hundred and twenty showstopping superyachts on display, with more than 30,000 visitors walking the docks. Many yachts docked here fly a mix of flags, but the Monegasque register is gaining real ground. More UHNW owners are picking Monaco for its growing reputation on the world stage. And it’s not just about size and status. Monaco is taking big steps to lead in eco-responsible yachting—forums, innovation labs, hybrid propulsion, hydrogen, and green port practices. We see these projects coming to life all over the harbour. Would you ever berth here during the F1, or is it all a bit too much?

It’s taken years to push air purifiers onto superyachts, but this week feels like a turning point. Our SYAP (Super Yacht Air Purifier) just got the nod for its third new build project. Back when we first brought AV, IT and Comms consultancy into yachting, not many believed it would become the norm. Now, everyone expects it. The same journey is happening with air purification. At first, only a few saw the need. Once we launched, the bigger HVAC suppliers started paying attention. The difference? We built SYAP on science, not marketing. It holds its ground against every other solution I’ve seen. The tech comes from the Dutch team at VFA Land and Sea. What I like most: their system fits straight into existing HVAC on board, or new builds—no drama, just consistency. It’s good to see the industry catching up. Health and air quality shouldn’t be an afterthought on yachts. We’re not done yet, but it's progress.
