Content planning: Work with colleagues and research director to determine an integrated research and content portfolio based on clients’ top priorities and market opportunities.
Research: Conduct primary and secondary research, including by planning and conducting telephone interviews, fielding online surveys, and analyzing Forrester and third-party data.
Client engagement: Apply Forrester’s research and frameworks to help clients solve business challenges through short- and long-term client interactions and engagements. Present at Forrester-sponsored and industry events and deliver client webinars.
Thought-leadership: Develop a deep understanding of the top challenges that data and insights leaders face with a clear emphasis on data leadership and culture, data literacy, data storytelling, insights teams, organizational models, and stakeholder alignment.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the immediate research team as well as experts in different focus areas from across Forrester’s services and geographic teams to develop a complete context for the issues in this space, both providing input to their research and writing reports incorporating their expertise to provide a big-picture view.
Publishing: Write several long and short research documents that convey new ideas. 
Consulting delivery support: Support consulting engagements as a subject-matter expert to apply Forrester’s research in the context of clients’ specific business environments and help solve their problems through inquiry, guidance sessions advisory, and project consulting. May provide sales support.
Industry and market presence: Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker; build relationships with senior data and analytics professionals as well as with the technology vendors that serve them and the journalists who cover the area; and participate in vendor briefings and field press inquiries as necessary. Embrace social tools and build a market presence via social media.

The Buffalo Business Intelligence Work Group formed in December 2017 to unite all “boots on the ground” data analytics, business intelligence, and data scientists of Buffalo regardless of the skill level or industry in an inclusive, vendor neutral, cost-effective setting. Data is data no matter the industry or tool and it takes a wide range of skill sets in order to leverage technology to achieve favorable outcomes in WNY. The peers you meet here will “tell you like it is”, celebrate your failures, inspire future wins, and will be there to support you throughout your analytics journey, no matter your skill level, industry, or employer.

We gather together 2x a year. The first Wednesday of June and December. Our December work group is where we meet to discuss the skills, tools, and problems and solutions we have identified over the past year. Our June work group is focused on delivering the needs identified in our December work group. For June 2020, we are doing things a little differently and hosting a special online discussion panel via Zoom. In December 2020, we anticipate doing a virtual event as well!

Data Journalist

WifiWarriors (NGO)

During the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, realized from prior Social Determinant of Health (SDOH) volunteer research  that a large number of WNY residents would be without internet. Without internet during the onset of the pandemic, many were without access to virtual school, telemedicine, food/grocery delivery, social support systems, and much more during lockdown.

Met goals of: 
1. Bringing public internet access to West Side Community Center parking lot in April/May 2020. 
2. Raise awareness of the "digital divide" conversation to the mainstream media. 

As of July 2020, attended / spoke at ANCHOR planning meetings on this topic
As of September 2020, attended / active participant in "WNY Digital Inclusion/Equity Coalition"


ABOUT:
18.6% of WNY is without internet access. Without internet access, people can not access education, telemedicine, food delivery, employment, or state and federal updates. Internet access is a Social Determinant of Health. We created a Facebook Group called WiFiWarriors to connect people with mobile/static WiFi Hotspots to those that are in need of internet access, free of charge. WiFi Warriors is a collective of individuals who are working to improve WiFi access in many different ways. Working together (apart) we can improve access and possibly save lives.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Coordinator is responsible for analyzing data and presenting actionable information to help corporate executives, business managers and other end users make more informed business decisions. Responsibilities include:
•	Analyzing the current organizational environment then designing, implementing, and monitoring a BI Strategic Plan for the Evergreen Association.
•	Selection and purchase of BI Analytics tool.
•	Develops reports and reporting platforms (i.e. Dashboards) to increase transparency and information flow among providers, administrators, and other management.
•	Develops and delivers agency process and training for Data Quality, Data Governance (DG), and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) initiatives.

Business Intelligence Coordinator

Assists in the oversight and development of agency-wide data analysis for Evergreen Health Services with a concentration on Evergreen Medical Group. This includes all activities surrounding data collection, input, reporting, monitoring and analysis in addition to related quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities. 
•	Assists with development and oversight of planning, development and preparation of data related reports.
•	Ensures integrity of data and develops protocols to minimize data errors throughout the association.
•	Assists in oversight of data collection and data entry procedures that support all agency, foundational and grant reporting requirements, ensuring all indicators and reporting requirements are met and/or developed.

I began as a medical scheduler and showed initiative by taking on new projects and tasks for the practice between patient calls. I was promoted three times in three years to the fastest division of orthopedics- upper extremity surgery. As a medical secretary to Dr. David Ratliff, I consistently made impossible surgeries – possible by interfacing with patients, primary doctors, sales representatives, hospitals, and insurance carriers to safely arrange PAT testing, medical clearance, and arrival of surgical supplies for surgeries in less than 24 hours. I developed a way to track      X-Ray turnaround time to decrease patient waiting time by 65%. This allowed us to increase number of patient appointments. On nights and weekends, I served as the practice Web Media Manager for Northtowns Orthopedics, P.C., and used web content strategy and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques to increase visibility on the Internet. Created original web content including pictures, video and other media for orthopedic blog articles. I developed and produced professional promotional videos for Dr. Ratliff which included the development of Facebook pages, YouTube accounts, and other social media accounts to increase our web presence and capture market share.

As a medical secretary and assistant to a psychiatrist, I learned to read patients by attitude, appearance, and vocal tone. This experience gave me a unique perspective on communication techniques and patterns between provider, and patient. Different cues expressed by distressed patients were important to note to the treating physician when monitoring mental status of critical patients.

Began working under a separate subdivision of the company as a corporate event planner and sales assistant for TEC Entertainment Inc. My employer discovered my ability to write eloquent promotional media and provided on the job training that allowed me to learn web content development and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques from masters in the field. I was transitioned from wedding coordination and sales to corporate web content development for A1 Communications. Working with web designers, I wrote content for countless web pages still in use today for photographers, DJ’s, and almost any other entertainment service available in Buffalo, NY. I learned about effective web media creation; how to shoot, edit, and keyword pictures and video for promotional use. Most importantly, I learned how to take a webpage to the top of the Google search engine results list and keep it there with minimal cost and upkeep.
