Hi, I’m Laura, a storytelling-infused copywriter and marketing translator. My linguistic background dates all the way back to when I was a child. I was born in Germany but was lucky enough to spend my childhood in England, where my family and I lived on a lightship parked on a river. ⛵ After travelling on a sailboat from Fort Lauderdale through the Caribbean, including the Bahamas, Cuba and Mexico, we decided to move to Germany for good when I was 9 years old. These travel experiences allowed me to learn all three of my working languages – German, English and Spanish – as a child and paved the way for a lifelong passion for languages and my desire to pursue a career in this field. 💙 During my studies, my love for languages was soon joined by a serious interest in marketing. When you add my passion for growth and for helping others to the picture, creating a business that combined all these elements seemed like a natural step to take. 👩🏽‍💻 In 2023, I founded WordPotential, a marketing translation and copywriting team that provides storytelling-infused services that speak to German culture for established and ambitious brands and businesses in English- and Spanish-speaking countries who want to conquer the German market in an era of online business growth and dominance. 🏝️ My team, based in Tenerife, is as international as the clients we work with, helping brands find a compelling German voice to captivate their audience, expand their reach and increase their revenue so that they can grow their business and pursue their vision.
