I am an intellectual property attorney with almost 20 years of experience in licensing and monetization. Regulatory aspects of live-streaming are another field of activity. Until 2022, I was the outsourced General Counsel for a leading monetization company for standard essential patents in the media and telecom field (mp3, LTE/5G, Wi-Fi etc.). I facilitated half a dozen patent pools during my tenure. In 2021, NFTs have caught my attention and the entire web3 "arena" fascinates me. My involvement often starts from the legal side (IP licensing aspects, copyrights, brands, royalties, minting terms, platform terms etc.), but I mostly drift into creative processes of decentralized organizations, community building and ideas about utilities of NFTs and Metaverses. As artificial intelligence became more popular in 2022, I started digging into the copyright-related issues coming with it. And I love tinkering with tools like ChatGPT, DALL-E, Midjourney, runway etc. myself. I am happy that my engagement in these areas is getting some attention. In consequence, I have been a frequent speaker at international events and have been kindly invited to share my views in podcasts and press interviews.
