In the quiet depths of adversity, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, lies a profound truth: even the toughest times bear within them the seeds of growth and transformation. About a year ago, I found myself navigating uncharted waters as I stepped into the ER for the first time in my life. The journey ahead seemed shrouded in ambiguity, yet it was during those moments of vulnerability that I discovered an unwavering faith in the resilience of the human spirit.

Fast forward a few months, and I found myself back at the same hospital, but this time, to welcome the arrival of our second child. It was a testament to the cyclical nature of life's trials and triumphs—a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there exists a glimmer of hope, a beacon guiding us toward the light.

Simultaneously, I embarked on a journey of intellectual and personal growth, pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management at Western Governors University. (Forever proud to be a Night Owl!) Little did I know that just as I was on the verge of completing my studies, I would face yet another challenge—a sudden job loss due to a layoff.

But within every setback lies the potential for profound introspection and transformation. The ensuing months were marked by a relentless pursuit of new opportunities, fueled by the unwavering support of my network. Their encouragement and guidance became the cornerstone of my resilience, propelling me forward even when the path seemed uncertain.

I must extend my deepest gratitude to individuals like Robb Lifferth, PHR, SHRM-CP, Lori Stegall, and Lacey Marakis whose mentorship and wisdom illuminated the darkest corners of my journey. With this guidance, I not only navigated the tumultuous waters of job searching but also discovered a newfound empathy for those traversing similar paths. Navigating a months long job search has made me a much more empathetic and well rounded Recruiter.
