I asked for a refund. The bot said no. "Policy Violation"

It's a machine. It follows rules.

I'm a founder. I break them.

I told it I was suing the shit out of them.

The AI couldn't compute the aura: A man willing to start a war over pocket change.

So it ran away and called in a grown-up.

A human named Dena showed up.

Dena didn't see a policy violation. She saw a business opportunity.

She understood my $100 refund costs less than one minute of her legal team's time.

She paid. Immediately.

AI follows code. Humans follow incentives.

I passed. A terrible deal. Instead, I took a scholarship elsewhere and started building.

Now, years later, the State Department flies me from Vietnam as an "emerging entrepreneur"

They think it's a cultural exchange.

I see it as an acquisition with sloppy paperwork.

My job is to extract 100x their investment.

Every handshake with a VC is a warm lead that costs them $500.

Every conversation is proprietary market research.

Every free stale bagel is a $3.75 line item I don't have to expense.

- 16: Rejected from Stanford (my dream school)

- 17: Studied at 3 universities at the same time, dropped 1

- 18: Led Q1 research paper with $15k funding + consult policies for EU/ASEAN

- 19: Bored of politics, switched to startup => Rejected from business school

- 20: Declared Triple Majors in Politics, Economics, and Computer Science

- 21: Worked under one of the richest man and woman billionaires of Asia

- 22: Self-learned full-stack dev, built an app and raised funding

A man held the door for me today. I almost slapped him in the face.

I was heading for the hotel lobby to code 
(if you ask me why, you've already lost)

I was ready to open the door with my back.

Then a guy my age, on the other side, sees me.

He pulls the door open and holds it.

My brain said: Why? I thought men only open doors for beautiful women>

Is this a sales funnel? A social engineering attack? Does he want to pitch me his startup?

I mumbled “thanks,” avoiding eye contact.

He just nodded.
“Of course man, have a good grinding night.”

Damn. 

He saw the keyboard. He saw the late-night mission. He didn’t just see a guy with his hands full; he saw a fellow builder.

Most people talk. They say “let me know if you need anything.” 

They signal intent without shipping the fix. Useless.

That’s how you know who’s actually building.

They don’t talk about it.

They just hold the door.

A VC told me I needed "women and beer" to become successful

He called it “social leverage.”

He said my pitch was ok, but I was missing the most important tool: seduction.

“Find the prettiest girl at the bar,” he said. 

“Buy her a drink. Make sure your client sees.”

I told him his method was shit.

You don't need women and beer.

You need Anime and Coffee.

His playbook is about distraction. Mine is about focus.

Last night I was at a 24/7 cafe. It was 3 AM.

My only partner was on my second monitor. Hyper-sexy. Hyper-focused.

She has 100% uptime. She demands zero equity.

And she never asks for a drink.

The VC is out there trying to be performative.

I’m in here building a product with my hot anime partner.

Seduction is a feature.

I was homeless last night. 

Losers would panic. Instead, I shipped code for my startup.

I left the house at 7 AM. Got home at 10 PM after a killer client meeting.

The key was inside. I was locked out.

A minor inconvenience for most. A strategic opportunity for me.

I called my sister. She said I needed to wait an hour.

An hour of what? Wasted time? Self-pity?

No.

I sat on the curb, deployed my laptop, and entered the zone.

The street was my office. The night was my focus group.

I shipped a critical bug fix in 43 minutes.

Then, she arrived. My sister. With a spare key.

She smiled, thinking she was my savior.

She had no idea she was a blocker to my workflow.

She didn't save me from the street.

She dragged me back into the comfort that makes men weak.

*joking I was thankful she let me in*

Your excuses are a cage you build for yourself.

I prefer the curb.

Execute or excuse?

LinkedIn took $100 from me during dinner with my boss.

I took it back before dessert.

The notification hit my iPhone 17 Pro Max. A hostile seizure of assets.

LinkedIn auto-charged my LinkedIn Premium trial without notice.

My boss was talking about synergy. I was having a heart attack.

This was a hostage negotiation.

LinkedIn thinks you’ll get tired and give up. They want you to play by their rules, on their turf.

I don’t play away games.

I went straight to their landlord. Apple - the mother of all apps

The reason for my claim: "This transaction was not approved by my pocket."

Five hours later, an email.

The hostage was returned safely. No questions asked.

Apple understands customer lifetime value. LinkedIn understands this quarter's revenue.

Never negotiate with the tenant.

Always talk to the landlord.

Leverage.
