Should you change your daily habits? Here's why the answer is a resounding YES. 
 
Routines shape our lives more than we realize. 
 
If you don't intentionally design your habits, you risk stagnating personally and professionally.  
 
But if you master the art of habit change, you unlock incredible potential for growth and success. 
 
History's greatest minds understood this well. 
 
Victor Hugo started his day with coffee and two raw eggs—most certainly an acquired taste, and a clear performance booster with healthy fat for the brain, protein and caffeine. 
 
Beethoven also began his morning with coffee, counting out sixty beans as an ideal dose. I use a scoop and a half, which I just counted and comes to 140 grains. Hmm... perhaps my mug is bigger? 
 
They focused on small daily actions that compounded into remarkable achievements over time. 
 
Here's another example: author John Grisham. Early in his legal career, he committed to writing one page each morning before work. This simple habit led to his breakout novel "A Time to Kill" and launched a legendary career. 
 
The key is starting small and staying consistent. Identify one keystone habit that will create positive ripple effects, then commit to it for 21 days straight—if 30 days seems too daunting, set up 7-day milestones.

I like the efficiency. And I’ve used this hack of stacking for everything from meditation to reading and work-related tasks. I can say without hesitation it has changed my life.  
 
As an example of stacking: 
- Try combining a morning walk to set your circadian rhythm and get some exercise with a walking meditation.   
- Do squats while you wait for your coffee to brew.  
- Read while having breakfast (eh... yeah, replace social media with a book 😜)

It's not that hard. 
 
By now, we all know that taking short physical and mental breaks throughout the day helps us to recharge and work smarter. Whether we do it or not is still open to question. 
 
So, here's more reason to take action: 
 
Exercising during workdays has been found to boost one's time management skills by 72%.  
 
Low-intensity aerobic exercises were found to be more effective for improving self-rated productivity than high-intensity exercises. 
 
I use short bouts of high-intensity exercise to get me out of a slump.

To reach any goal, you need decision, change, and persistence. There are few key principles to build these that map well to the best way to enjoy dry sausage. Read on... 
 
Here's the Sausage Principle: 
 
1️⃣ Cut thin slices. Break down goals into manageable parts, like slicing a sausage. Smaller pieces require less willpower. Focus on one small change at a time. 📏

Can showing vulnerability really be the secret to team success? 
 
Leadership used to mean putting on a mask of steel, a facade of unyielding bravery. But times have changed, and so has the perception of leadership. 
 
Today’s most successful leaders show their vulnerability to spark trust, innovation, and community within a team. 
 
One study found that when leaders are perceived as vulnerable, employees could be 10 times more likely to provide constructive feedback and 8 times more likely to speak up with new ideas or concerns. 
 
Vulnerability is not about putting on a show of weakness. It's about stepping into the spotlight, challenges and all, and saying, "This is me". I'm human. 
 
It's not about sharing everything. It's about sharing strategically. About being human. 
 
And inviting your team to do the same, creating an environment where people feel safe to share ideas, take chances, and learn from missteps without judgment. 
 
This isn’t just to make people feel good; it’s about business results. Tearing down the walls of pretense, leaders unlock creativity, commitment, and performance from their teams. 
 
How are you being vulnerable?     

More energy, less brain fog, and the end of cravings—who wouldn't want that? 
 
For me, these promises came from a cup of coffee with a bit of healthy fat in it. Hard to believe, but so tempting. Here's the story. 
 
Nothing beats fat to carry flavor. I’ve known that ever since got fascinated with cooking as an art form. That was way back when the world was still focused on low-fat everything, and the gourmet scene just started talking about slow food.  
 
I was promoting fat. The good kind. Sweet, delicious, organic butter. I did butter sauces, unbelievably buttery mashed potatoes, and butter-based desserts.  
 
But butter coffee? It never occurred to me. 
Then, eight years ago, I discovered Bulletproof coffee—a savant combination of coffee, butter and coconut oil that promises more brain power. It was more than I could resist. 
 
The recipe was made famous by Dave Asprey, an American entrepreneur who popularized biohacking as the art and science of understanding and controlling your own biology in order to get the most out of life. 
 
It came at a good time for me. In addition to my varied background as a chef, translator, publisher, writer, communications strategist, business owner, and expatriate fascinated with martial arts, meditation, and anything to do with human performance, I had just won the French national championships in Vietnamese martial arts (I was 50 at the time), and I was exhausted.  
 
I needed some energy. 
 
But butter in my coffee? Hmm... 
 
Biohacking is all about experimenting, so I tried it. For a month, I put butter in my coffee. I felt nothing. Zilch. 
 
How is it that so many high-level athletes, top business executives, and others swore by it?  
 
A bit stubborn, I went back at the recipe. Yes, the devil is in the detail. I had neglected to put it all in the blender. And that is when my life changed. My brain lit up. 
 
In addition to easing my body into metabolic flexibility, I learned a lot from this experiment. 
 
The biggest lesson was that small adjustments can have huge impacts. It’s like in a story—the difference between one that bores you and one that fascinates you is in the details.  
 
I still do a version of Bulletproof coffee, now with cacao, decaf—otherwise I have TOO MUCH energy—and less fat than the original recipe. It's my only breakfast. 
 
This was a turning point for me.
