With over 30 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and leading, I am passionate about revolutionizing education and creating a paradigm shift in our system. I am a South Bend Community School Corporation (SBCSC) teacher. I implement instructional methods and materials aligned with state standards, integrate technology in the classroom, and assess student progress and performance. I also serve as a team leader, a PBIS team member, and a mentor teacher for the IUSB master's program. I am part of the Grow SB! initiative, a unique and innovative partnership between SBCSC and IUSB that supports graduate students entering the teaching profession. I have been recognized as the Teacher of the Year for Hay Primary Center and a Top 10 Honors Group for the Corporation Teacher of the Year. My mission is to foster social and emotional well-being, inclusivity, and curiosity among my students and colleagues and to empower them to be the solutions we need in our educational system.
