I have a diverse background in healthcare that began with bedside care. I was able to relate to patients as humans, in need of care and compassion. I've spent several years getting to understand patient's needs. I was a patient advocate by not only providing care, but making sure it was done effectively, efficiently, and to increase health literacy. As I continued my studies, I pivoted into clinical program management. I collaborated to provide course content for clinical programs, develop best practice policies, and taught multidisciplinary clinicians. I have consulted providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical/occupational therapists and administrators. After finishing my Masters in Health Administration, I embarked on a journey to outpatient services. I managed a internal medicine office. My goals consisted of increasing access to care, improving workflows, and maximizing insurance reimbursements. Currently, I have 25 direct reports within a respiratory therapy department. I have been able to accomplish a positive change in culture, increase employee compliance, job satisfaction, and healthcare service efficiency.
