I've been off LinkedIn for 2 months, and it's all because of this stupid logo!

But? Let me give a re-introduction:  

I'm Dylan Harari, I've been building in the Creator Economy for the past 8 years. 

But for the past two? I've been on my most thrilling journey... 

Building a SAAS company in the Creator Economy. 

It's funny, I analyze the Creator Economy on LinkedIn weekly. However - few people know what I actually do. 

Fanfix started with a simple vision: how do we allow the new class of creators to monetize via membership? 

We were a team of about 4-5 full-time looking to cement a direction & understand the market. 

Now? We've a team of 40+, and our product is being adopted by creators globally. 

Revenue has grown 55X in this time, which we take great pride in.

So, why did it pull me away from LinkedIn? 

We had our biggest revenue jump from March to April, which was a near $2M jump in revenue.

And, in April of 2024 (this month), we hit our highest revenue day in our company's history...

The next day? We beat through it.

The day after? We smashed through it again. 

We never anticipated being in a position where we're doing $300K+ a day. 

Now, this is approaching our normal. It's crazy when your ceilings now become your floor. 

The past two months we've structured new goals, priorities, partnerships, plus other strategies I can't share. 

It's honestly been the high of my career. Possibly my life. 

The stress! The anxiety! The wins! The losses!

Growing a SAAS company has been the excitement of my career. 

I'm glad I spent the last two months heads-down on this.

We're not in 2022 anymore: the 'MrBeast' format has been done to death.

Everyone in the Creator Economy needs to understand...

This example below isn't a one-off, I'm seeing it become the norm. The 'casual' format being the most successful.

Ironic, right? Because the bottom two thumbnails are 'perfect' in YouTube terms?

Viewers have fatigue over the hyper-algorithm-optimized videos.

Everyone found a Fiverr thumbnail artist that does the 'YouTube Perfect MrBeast Thumbnails', and many viewers are turned 𝙤𝙛𝙛.

You know who else has fatigue over the format? MrBeast HIMSELF, who's been recently experimenting with new formats.

This is happening all across YouTube. You know why?

The over-stimulation generation needs refuge.

YouTube for Gen Z is increasingly becoming a place to escape the over-stimulation of TikTok & Snapchat.

What we're seeing now work at a massive scale?

Videos that are done in a less-polished, deliberately-casual manner.

The de-influencing trend is reaching new heights.

What does that mean? The 'iPhone-first' creators receive solid brand deals.

What else? Top YouTubers are making purposefully non-glossy thumbnails.

People are fatigued by over-stimulation across TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube. 
They're buying from the influencers who seem like they're not trying. 

The Sprout Social, Inc. Social 2024 Influencer Marketing Report is out, with finds such as:

➝ Millennials & Gen Z are the most trusting in influencers.
➝ 35% of Gen Z rank authenticity as a top trait they care about.

What's the trend of the creators blowing up with Gen Z, older Gen Alpha?

Look at The Sturniolo Triplets (Gen Z darlings).

Or, look at the Kalogeras Sisters (Gen Z darlings).

What do the creators that are the gold-standard for brands seeking the teen demo have in common?

Their leveraging a tech-stack of an iPhone, Canva, and iMovie. And they convert better than most overly-produced creators.
