Created statistical models in R Studio to determine optimal locations
for sports marketing campaigns in socioeconomic vulnerable areas.
● Created demographic reports to cluster di erent types of potential
customers and populations that could potentially beneﬁt from BRC’s
projects.

IBN INDUSTRIAS MILITARES

Created a National Security Index. This required variable selection,
extraction, and processing. Results were reported on national
television to increase brand awareness as a result web page visits
increased more than 50%.
● Carried data mining analysis in RStudio and Excel for crime
prevention and public security for the consulting branch of the
company. Findings were presented to political and private entities as
consulting services.

I was pursuing International relations in college.

With time I realised, I wasn't very passionate about how countries work together (don't get me wrong, it's an important topic!).

But as graduation approached, I wasn't sure if that was the only path for me.

Then, during my final years, a subject blending statistics and programming ignited a new spark.

Suddenly, data science wasn't just about boring numbers—it was about uncovering stories.

I saw a way to use it to explore all sorts of phenomena, social or business, and gain valuable insights through data.

This was a major turning point. 

The focus on getting accurate information, visualizing what's coming next, and making a real difference – that hooked me. 

Now, as a data scientist, I apply my analytical skills from international relations to see problems in a whole new way.

I've realised that it’s okay to pivot because sometimes the coolest jobs find you when you least expect it.

For anyone considering a career change, don't be afraid to pivot a lot.

You might be surprised where your skills can take you.
