You know, early days you need to get from A to B with only very few ressources and you get to wear many different hats, later on you get to work with some exciting budgets and people, you learn how to scale, implement processes and teach others. I spearheaded Marketing and Business Development along the road.

• Responsible for building Lunar Way's online strategy and presence from scratch. Involving crossplatform strategy, content creation and analytics.
• Responsible for strategy, content creation, communication and building a solid following on Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook as well. 
• Responsible for the entire digital advertising strategy; involving everything within SEO, SEM, PPC, as well as on-going data driven optimization and split testing different audiences, graphics and communicative approaches. 
Responsible for budgets, CAC, MOM growth and targets.
• Responsible for the mapping of relevant influencers and establishing succesfull colabs with influencers who can be said to match Lunar Ways identity and brand. Involving both mikro and makro-influencer collabs.

I’m a former motorsports athlete, but nowadays I get my adrenaline kick from working with talented people and high growth international tech scaleups from around the world and I enjoy every minute of it.
 
I’m creative, driven and always curious to learn new things - never afraid to take a risk. Throughout the years, I’ve managed to create award winning and measurable growth results for other people’s tech scaleups (within different industries and stages) as well as my own.

I've watched VCs and first-time CEOs make this same expensive mistake over and over, when it comes to hiring for startups.

The setup: Early-stage startup. 20 people. Hiring their first Head of Product.
Two final candidates:

Candidate A:
→ 8 years at Google
 → "Senior Product Manager"
 → Impressive resume
 → Polished interview

Candidate B:
→ 3 years at unknown startup (acquired)
 → "Employee #5"
 → Scrappy resume
 → Raw but energetic

The CEO's and investor's immediate reaction: "Candidate A is obviously more qualified. Google! That's incredible."

But reality is:

Candidate A at Google:
→ Joined as employee ~2,000
→ Specialised role and responsibility
 → Managed existing product line
 → Had 3 PMs reporting to him
 → Executed roadmap set by leadership
 → Clear processes, established playbook
Never built anything from zero.

Candidate B at startup:
→ Employee #5 
 → Built product from scratch
 → No playbook, figured it out
 → Used to extreme ambiguity & chaos
 → Wore PM, designer, and analyst hats
 → Startup acquired for $50M
Built everything from nothing.

Employee #5 and Employee #2,000 are completely different people - with totally different skillsets.

Startups are NOT supposed to exist. 

The default state is: Nothing.

But then one day, some maniac decides to create something out of nothing. That's not supposed to be possible. And yet it happens. Every single day.

It’s the people who take an idea - pure imagination - and beat it into reality through code, sweat, and sheer f*cking will.

It’s the people who risk everything - savings, relationships, sanity - for something that statistically won't work.

It’s the people who hear "that's impossible" and think "I can do it"

They're called crazy. Unrealistic. Naive.
They're told to get real jobs. Be practical. Stop dreaming. 

It's a psychological defect that makes you look at what everyone else accepts and think: "I can do it better".
The compulsion that makes you see what doesn't exist and the urge to create it.
The obsession that makes you willing to sacrifice and risk everything.

Founders are literally fighting:
→ Physics (entropy)
→ Society (status quo)
→ Psychology (why are you doing this to yourself?)
→ Statistics (95% fail within 5 years)

They’re doing it based on an idea and pure conviction. 

And they turn that into:
→ Product (tangible outcome)
→ Jobs (societal impact)
→ Customers (people using it)
→ Revenue (people valuing it)
→ Generational companies (movements)

Most people see the world as it is.
Founders see the world as it could be - and force it into existence 👊

How do you spot a unicorn founder before they build a billion dollar business? Look for hypomania 👀 

I just finished the book: 'The Hypomanic Edge - The link between a little craziness and a lot of success in America.' And it was truly eye-opening.

Top 1% of founders, investors and high performers:
→ Need few hours sleep, wake up energized
 → Brain never stops racing with thoughts
 → Actually believe they can do the impossible
 → Take risks others call insane
 → Work at an exhausting pace

Turns out, there's a clinical term for this: Hypomania. It’s not just a relentless drive. It's a mild manic state.

We try to define it as:
"Founder mode"
"ADHD"
"10x mindset"
"Visionary"
"Outlier"

But these people aren't just driven. They're wired differently at a clinical level.

If someone manages to channel it productively = billion-dollar companies.
Unchecked = burnout and chaos.

Most founders, investors and top performers don't know what it is.
They just know they're wired differently.

It's not a bug. It's the feature. 🦄

"Ideas are worthless. Execution is everything." - Startup advice 101. But Sam Altman said something very different: "The good founders are the people who have ideas all the time"

Not one brilliant idea. Thousands. 💡 

That's a contrast to a lot of conventional wisdom in the startup world.

What Altman means is:

Great founders have ideas on:
→ Product improvements
 → Marketing approaches
 → Sales tactics
 → Positioning
 → Pricing
 → Partnerships
 → Culture
 → Everything

Every. Single. Day.

And this hit me: We always obsess over "the idea."

"Protect your idea!"

"Someone will steal your idea!"

But that's not how billion-dollar companies are built.

They're never built on ONE idea. They're built on THOUSANDS of ideas, executed over the years.
