"Hazrat Umar followed the principle set by the first caliph, Hazrat Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, when he said, "The weak among you shall be strong with me until their rights have been vindicated, and the strong among you shall be weak with me until, if the Lord wills, I have taken what is due from them…" and considered it one of the central objectives of his public policies.

How Hazrat Umar practiced social equality was best demonstrated when he entered Jerusalem as a liberator, not as leaders would act. He entered Jerusalem in humility, walking on foot with his servant comfortably riding a camel, as they had been taking turns riding.

The key to Hazrat Umar's exemplary behavior was social justice. For him, social justice meant redistribution of power and income in such a way that, when introduced at the lowest level, it spreads upward to all the reaches of society.

There are three distinct periods in history when Jews lived under Muslim rule

The first epoch began in 638 when Caliph Umar accepted the surrender of Jerusalem and was surprised when informed that there were no Jews in the city. Over the previous century the Byzantine emperors had forced the Jews to convert. Those who did not were expelled from Jerusalem and banned from praying at the sacred Temple Wall. To rectify this injustice, Hazrat Umar encouraged 70 Jewish families to resettle in their ancestral homes, and cleared a space for them around the Temple Wall. He then personally wrote a document, clearly defining the rights of the minorities (dhimmis) in conquered lands. This edict called Ehed Umaria is today enshrined in the Mosque of Umar in the Christian Quarter of Jerusalem. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, a woman Alizey Khan — founder of Ruhil Foundation — was awarded the Diana Legacy Award.

She received the award from Prince William at a ceremony held in London on Thursday (March 14).

Alizey, 26, has been recognised with the highest accolade a young person can achieve for social action or humanitarian efforts.

The legacy awards take place every two years and celebrate the achievements of 20 young leaders from across the world.

The legacy award marks the Diana Award’s 25th Anniversary — a charity set up in memory of Diana, the late Princess of Wales and her belief in the power of young people to change the world.

On Friday, an American citizen named Brian Douglas Williams participated in the current trophy hunting program and successfully hunted the highest-rated Astore markhor in the Doyan Community Controlled Hunting Area (CCHA) located in the Astore district of Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to wildlife officials in Gilgit-Baltistan, Brian Douglas Williams managed to hunt an Astore markhor (Capra falconeri) with 40-inch horns during his expedition in Doyan. To obtain the hunting permit, the hunter paid a fee of PKR 5 Crore to the GB Wildlife Department (GBWD).

This particular hunt ranks as the fourth highest-rated Astore markhor hunt recorded in the ongoing trophy hunting program.
Prior to this, on February 13, another American citizen named Colglazier John Michael hunted an Astore markhor in the Sai Damote CCHA in Gilgit, having paid PKR 4.7 Crore for the privilege.

On January 27, Joseph Bradford Coors, also an American citizen, successfully hunted the highest-rated Astore markhor in the SKB community control hunting area situated in the Roundu area of Skardu. He paid PKR 5 Crore to the GBWD for the hunting permit.

In Mongolian culture, horseback archery was used for hunting, for protecting livestock, protecting the tribe from outside enemies.
