4 agency owners. 3 hours of raw conversation. Every secret about scaling from freelancing to 7-figures (from beginner to advanced level)

Beginner Stage:
-Don't wait to be 100% ready. Start with broken skills but improve FAST
-Work for free initially, but be strategic - ask for referrals in return
-Create a strong portfolio by doing real projects (even if unpaid)
-Take every opportunity to learn and upskill
-Money shouldn't be your only motivator - focus on skill development

Intermediate Stage:
-Start taking your finances seriously - get a CA, track cash flow
-Invest money back into the business (I waited 3.5 years for an office - big mistake)
-Build systems before you need them
-Get comfortable with delegation
-Hire people better than you at specific skills

Advanced Stage:
-Over-hire slightly - it's better than being understaffed
-Focus on building a strong team culture
-Make your team feel valued beyond just salary
-Invest in proper infrastructure (legal, accounting, tools)
-Remember: Take care of your team, and they'll take care of your clients

To sum it up:
In the beginning, you focus on yourself. 
In the intermediate stage, you focus on the business. 
But in the advanced stage - you learn that true growth comes from focusing on your team's growth.

The moment I switched from "How do I grow?" to "How do I help my team grow?" - everything changed.

You just need to change your next 24 hours.

What are you going to change?

Over the last 4 years of running my agency, I've taken hundreds of sales calls. And I've realized something really important about selling.

Your job isn't to sell. Your job is qualification.

Let me show you exactly what I do.

Every day, I spend 30 minutes on LinkedIn looking for founders who are actively posting but could do better with their content. I add them to my Notion database.

But, I don't reach out to everyone. I look for intent signals:

-Are they hiring for growth roles?
-Have they recently raised funding?
-Are they actively trying different content styles?

Because without intent, you're just wasting your time.

Before every sales call, I spend 15 minutes researching:

-Their recent posts
-Company updates
-Their specific content challenges

Then on the call, instead of pitching, I ask questions like: 'What's your content strategy right now?' 'Why did you decide to take this call now?' 'What would success look like in 6 months?' ‘What's stopping you from achieving this yourself?’

The best part is that the first 5 minutes tell me everything I need to know.

Because if you have to convince someone too hard, they're not the right client.

When someone's actually ready, they convince themselves

Nobody believed influencers would actually dye their hair red for a billboard campaign. 

But they did, and it's honestly one of the most insane marketing moves I've seen lately.

I was tired of seeing the same cookie-cutter influencer posts - you know, just posing with products and posting on Instagram.

But Garnier L'Oréal x FREAKINS flipped the script completely, creating a game-changing campaign that's worlds apart from Garnier's typical billboard approach.

What made this campaign different:

- Got lots of real creators (not models) to actually dye their hair bright red 
- Put them on massive billboards across cities (not just social media). 
- And even dropped a limited edition collection with renewed packaging that perfectly blends both brands.

The genius behind this strategy? 

Both brands got exactly what they needed: Garnier showcased their latest red hair color range on real people. Freakins connected with Garnier's massive audience while keeping their Gen-Z appeal. 

It's refreshing to see brands take real risks instead of playing it safe. 

This is what happens when someone dares to think differently - you get people actually talking about it. 

We need more campaigns that make people stop scrolling.

While everyone posted their 2024 wrap-ups on LinkedIn, I did it in person with friends who've seen both my failures and my wins.

3 hours. 4 friends. 2 continents.

None of us are living the lives we dreamed about in school. And somehow, that's perfectly okay.
Since we were out of touch for months, we shared everything - not just the highlight reel:

Living in different time zones made staying connected harder. But sitting together in India, sharing chai and unfiltered stories, reminded me of something important-

Your LinkedIn profile might show your success story, but your real friends know the plot holes, the deleted scenes, and the bloopers that made you who you are.

Sometimes the most valuable connections aren't about always trying to expand your network, but deepening the ones that have always been there.

Fun fact: LinkedIn does not even come in the top 15 social media apps. It’s far from being saturated.  

So if you start writing content on it in 2025 you’ll get some sort of a first mover advantage.
