Elizabeth Leiba is a writer, college professor, and advocate for Black business women. She has over 100,000 followers on LinkedIn who range in age, race, background, and location, and are primarily located in the US, Canada, and the UK.

Her passion for Black history changed her life and catapulted her into a fulfilling line of work as a powerful advocate of social justice and equity for Black women, especially Black business women. Elizabeth strives to create resources which support, empower, and amplify Black business women and their businesses. 

She was featured in the 2020 New York Times article,“Black LinkedIn Is Thriving. Does LinkedIn Have a Problem With That?,” which highlighted her social justice advocacy work. The response to this article spurred her to launch her online, accessible e-learning platform, Black History & Culture Academy, the stunning educational resource which earned her the recognition of a LinkedIn TOP VOICE in Education in 2020. 

She is also the host of Black Power Moves, a podcast on EBONY Media Covering Black America Podcast Network and is a published writer. Her most recent writing includes an Op-Ed piece on racial profiling for CNN, which had more than 2 million views on their news website.

In early 2022, Elizabeth launched her website directory, Black Women Handle Business, which is the premier website for Black women entrepreneurs and professionals to network, collaborate and share resources.

Host of Black Power Moves, a weekly deep dive podcast that is part of the Ebony Covering Black America Podcast Network. Episodes inform about Black culture, empowerment, entrepreneurship, and history.  

The podcast format exemplifies a casual, get-to-know-you conversation, rather than an interview. This  expresses the mission and goals, which are simply to amplify the voices of Black people across the Diaspora.

To that end, there are no prepared questions, to recreate the tradition of oral storytelling through a historical African lens. Guests tell their own stories in a way that feels comfortable and natural, with the host guiding the conversation in the framework of an authentic, culturally sensitive and relevant narrative that has a goal to amplify Black voices and inspire, educate and motivate listeners.

Teaching Assistant

Learning about Black history changed my life and inspired me to become a social justice warrior. I'm passionate about creating resources to support, empower, and amplify Black women and their businesses. 

I recently published the book "I'm Not Yelling: A Black Woman's Guide to Navigating the Workplace," which has become a #1 New Release in Business Mentoring, Women in Business, and Coaching and Workplace Culture. It provides strategic guidance on how Black business women can succeed in a predominantly white corporate America. 

Additionally, I was featured in the 2020 New York Times article, "Black LinkedIn Is Thriving. Does LinkedIn Have a Problem With That?", which motivated me to launch my own online e-learning platform - the Black History & Culture Academy - for which I was named a LinkedIn TOP VOICE in Education in 2020.

If calling for the liberation of Palestinians is considered anti-semitic, we need to consider why maintaining #Palestine's oppression is integral to the Israeli nationalist identity...we're also beyond the grave ignorance of this "wild card" accusation when the Zionist narrative loses support because Palestinians, whether Christian or Muslim, of the Levante region are also Semites.

So please, let me reiterate.

We're not protesting Jews, but the desperate Zionists that are also inflicting violence on ANYONE that challenges their well-documented cruelty.

Learning allows change. At the IDC we learned something worth sharing about adultifaction bias directed towards Black girls.
