This weekend, I went on a vacation with my best friends who are also my competitors! One I met through LinkedIn Mahima Jalan The other through Instagram Mona Agrawal No matter what anyone says, female friendships are important, especially as a founder. We spent the weekend talking about everything—work, dreams, fears, relationships, and everything in between. “But, how can you be such good friends with people who are also selling what you are selling?” Well honestly, it does you more good than harm! Here’s what female friendships like these give me (and why I fiercely protect them): 📍 They remind me there’s room for all of us Just because someone else is doing great, doesn’t mean I’m doing worse. Their win doesn’t take away from mine. 📍 They keep me grounded & sane When you’re building something from scratch, it’s easy to spiral. These women get it. They get me. And sometimes, being understood is more powerful than being “helped.” 📍 They challenge me—in the best way We share strategies. Feedback. Pricing. Clients. Hard truths. It's like having a mastermind group, but softer and more soulful. 📍 They celebrate my weird mix of ambition + anxiety They don’t flinch when I go from “I’m gonna take over the world” to “what am I even doing with my life?” in the same hour. They ride the wave with me. 📍 Then there is life The best part is that work talks is only a part of our friendship, there is so much more that we bond over!
