This was my first stint with a financial services company and as its senior editor in the Small and Medium Enterprises department, I was in charge of quality control of its financial reports, a customer facing function driven by volumes. I lead a team of four editors and together we ensured quality, consistency, and adherence to set standards of language and presentation. I was also involved in corporate communications training for financial analysts, tracking their efficacy and communication skills. While in this position, I used my creative skills to draw the group of financial analysts which is traditionally inclined away from communication and language to refocus them on the issue of communication as a crucial driver of business to business interactions, as well as interpersonal interactions.

I worked in the editorial department of the main page newspaper, handling region, national, and international as well as special edition pages. I contributed stories and also designed national and regional pages using page-making and layout software, InDesign, on a daily basis. I was production in-charge, co-ordinating production of pages and proof-reading along with my fellow colleagues on the edit desk. 
I also served as editor for Indulge, high-end fashion and lifestyle quarterly publication, also from Galadari Brothers LLC. I contributed articles and planned content and design along with the team, as well as proof-read the entire publication.

From copy desk sub-editor to chief sub handling front page news, national, international, and the occasional regional section, across five editions for different cities daily, responsibilities included news story editing, selection, placement, design and production layout followed by proofreading and sending for print.
