My philosophy on conferences has completely changed in the last few years.

I've been reflecting on my time at LeadsCon last week.

I used to try to hustle to collect as many business cards, have as many sales conversations, and try to meet as many new people as I could.

It was a numbers game and it was super stressful.

Now, I try to have a handful of meaningful conversations with partners, friends, and folks I'm introduced to. We talk about our businesses, the industry, our families, our hobbies, and whatever else comes up.

This method is significantly less stressful and it also results in a lot better business outcomes in the long-run.

People like to work with people they know.

My new goal at conferences → Meet with new and old friends, ask a ton of questions, have enjoyable conversations, and offer help where I can.

Looking forward to attending more shows this year.
