THE JOURNEY: In 2021 I took a remarkable year off to reset after 20 years of working on the internet. I volunteered at my church, chilled out, and studied - I came back refreshed, with a decision to have a better work/life balance, get involved in something really interesting, and put all of my website development, SEO & Social Media Marketing experience to good use in an organisation that does no harm. 3 months of interviewing prospective employers and I found my perfect fit at Outlook Publishing Ltd. The adventure continues… A couple of years into my digital marketing career in 1998 I co-founded the UK’s first Affiliate Marketing Network. On the way I‘ve became a first class website developer & designer, ASP/PHP/HTML coder, expert in social media marketing, fairly handy at graphic design, an exceptional copywriter, and a trend & data analyst. In 2002 I shifted to mobile content marketing by employing smart people to build the mProvision Mobile Content Platform that aggregated, marketed & sold ringtones, mobile games, and text chat services via WAP, SMS Text, and Reverse Billing. Remember Crazy Frog? Next came the Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad. I had the audience for mobile optimised websites & apps before mobile web was even a thing. 100,000’s of users per month used my mobile casino apps. I built the first incarnation of the BBC iPlayer when Apple launched the iPad. That got shut down after few months by the BBC lawyers. I embraced the WordPress platform. It’s amazing! I’ve developed 300+ websites. Among other things I created & Social Media Management platform providing outsourced Social Media Marketing Services to international brands, provided SEO consultancy & executive social media marketing training.
