Most would fail.

In 2014 the Danish National Chamber Orchestra did something insane.

Before a performance every musician ate one of the hottest chili peppers in the world.

- Then they played.
- Eyes watering.
- Hands shaking.
-Breathing unstable.

Because orchestras do not rely on comfort.

Watching that video made me think about the AI race happening right now.
- Everyone talks about models.
- Everyone debates tools.

2025 was novelty.
2026 is 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗳𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 with kids.

Drunken boxing and nunchaku are not “cute”.
They are stress tests for control under chaos.

The next frontier is not dancing.
It is 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 in messy environments.

By 2028, the winners will not be the best demos.

China is already pushing this at scale.

Reuters reports four major startups featured on the 2026 Gala, including Unitree, as part of a broader push into AI driven manufacturing. 

The IFR reports 4.28 million industrial robots operating in factories worldwide. 
McKinsey & Company’s framing is blunt: work becomes a partnership of people, agents, and robots. 

So the real jobs question is not “Will robots replace us”.
 It is “Which workflows get redesigned first, and who captures the value”.

Advanced versions reportedly approach 1 meter accuracy.

That means a balcony shot.
A coffee photo.
A “random” city selfie.

Can reveal where you live.
We used to say “remove EXIF data and you’re safe.”

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲.

AI now reads environmental fingerprints most humans ignore.
- Roof angles.
- Street markings.
- Tree species.
- Sun position.

This is not hacking.
It is pattern recognition at scale.

We are entering a 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗲𝗿𝗮 where visual data leaks location whether you intend it or not.

The uncomfortable question:

Should this tech be public?
Or is this the beginning of normalized AI surveillance?

Most people treat AI like a single tool.
But the reality is very different.

𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹.

Each model is optimized for something specific.

-ChatGPT excels at creativity and coding.
-Gemini dominates inside Google workflows.
-Claude handles deep reasoning and long documents.
-Perplexity is built for research and sources.
-And Grok thrives on real time information.

Yet people still argue about which one is better.
That debate completely misses the point.

The winners in the AI era will not be the people who pick a favorite model.
They will be the people who learn how to orchestrate them.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹.

Technology reflects incentives.
So the real question is not

What will AI do?

Today inside the MERKUR SPIEL ARENA at SportsInnovation 2026 in Düsseldorf I realized something powerful.
 
The stadium is no longer just where the game happens.
It’s where the future of sport is tested live.
 
The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga turned the arena into a real lab for innovation. 
-AI driven broadcasting. 
-Real time match analytics. 
-Automated camera systems. 
-Data streams connecting the game to millions of fans worldwide.
 
More than 200 million data points per match are already processed to generate insights like win probability and match momentum.
And a huge part of that infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) powered AI systems that personalize the fan experience globally.
 
And a very interesting part happened off stage.
 
I recorded a podcast with Alexander Altenhofen, Director Product and Technology from DFL Digital Sports.
We talked about what most companies still misunderstand about AI.

McKinsey & Company compares AI to the steam engine because 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲.

𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.

And here’s where people get it wrong.

They argue 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
They argue 𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.
They argue 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
Blacksmiths did too.

They rewarded 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗘𝗗, 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗘, and 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬.

At the AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi, Sam Altman and Dario Amodei reportedly refused the symbolic handshake moment.

Small scene.
Big signal.

Amodei left OpenAI in 2021 over safety disagreements.
He built Anthropic.

Today it is valued at 380 billion dollars.
Meanwhile OpenAI and Anthropic are racing toward the same frontier.

- Bigger models.
- More autonomy.
- More enterprise adoption.

Publicly, both call for global coordination and responsible scaling.
Privately, competition is accelerating.

Here is the uncomfortable truth:

The models are starting to look similar.
The positioning is not.

OpenAI pushes scale and distribution.
Anthropic pushes alignment and constitutional safety.

Both want to define the rules of AGI.

This is no longer just a technology race.
It is a governance race.
A trust race.
A control race.

When leaders cannot align at the top, global AI alignment becomes harder at the bottom.

So here is the real question:

That was one of my biggest takeaways from my discussion with Philippe van den Berge, VP Automotive EMEA at 𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐀.

For the past years, NVIDIA has quietly built the 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 behind the future of mobility.

Think about what that means:

1️⃣ 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 processing massive amounts of sensor data in real time
2️⃣ 𝐀𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 inside the car
3️⃣ Vehicles designed in 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 before they exist in the real world
4️⃣ Platforms like 𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐀 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄 act as the brain of autonomous vehicles, while 𝐎𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 lets manufacturers simulate everything from crash tests to entire production lines.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞.

Cars are no longer just engineered.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐈.

And this will reshape the automotive industry over the next decade.

>> 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲.

A new study from Anthropic made me pause.

Instead of guessing AI’s impact, they analyzed millions of real conversations with Claude AI assistant.

What they found is surprising.
- The blue area in the chart shows what AI could theoretically handle.
- The red area shows what people actually use it for.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀.

In many industries we are using barely 5% of what AI could already do.
- Even programming is only about 75% covered.
- Customer support around 70%.
- Most other jobs are barely touched.

Here is the twist nobody expected.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀.
They are older, highly educated knowledge workers doing writing and analysis.

And hiring for 22 to 25 year olds in these AI exposed jobs has dropped 14% since ChatGPT launched.
Meanwhile cooks, bartenders, mechanics and construction workers remain largely untouched.

𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The real lesson is uncomfortable.

AI is not replacing work yet.
𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

The winners will not be the fastest typists or the best prompt writers.
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Because when intelligence becomes cheap, human context becomes expensive.

The real question now is simple.

We live in a 𝗯𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲.

Tech Twitter.
LinkedIn creators.
VC podcasts.

Inside the bubble, it feels late.
Outside the bubble, it hasn’t even started.

Only 𝗦𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 use free chatbots.
Around 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 pay for AI.
Roughly 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 use coding copilots.

This is not 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
This is 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 territory.

Hot take:
Most founders are building for the 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁, not the 𝗌𝗂𝗅𝖾𝗇𝗍 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁.

That is why so many AI products feel impressive… but not 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹.
The next 𝗍𝗋𝗂𝗅𝗅𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 companies will not target power users.

They will design for people who have never prompted anything.
Simple. Invisible. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱.

The real opportunity is not better prompts.
It is 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲.

Are we early… or are we delusional?
