DATAcated just hit 100 clients!

I went out on my own in March 2020 with a vision of creating a media company focused on serving data analytics and AI clients; helping them with brand recognition, content amplification, and telling their stories. 

Four years later, I'm proud to say we've served 100 clients (many of them repeat customers). Time to celebrate! 🥳

Earlier this month, I attended the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit in Orlando and had such a fantastic time!

I knew that there would be MANY exhibitors showcasing their awesome data & AI offerings so I decided to go on a fun adventure of handing out 'booth awards'. 

I walked around the exhibit hall on my first day, selected a few booths that stood out for me and on the next day, gave out some DATAcated Booth Awards!

Data Universe was phenomenal! I got to spend time with my data friends, meet so many people in-person, learn a ton from speakers, and truly have FUN!

One of the funniest moments at Data Universe was when we were on a panel and I accidentally knocked down one of the water bottles while 'talking with my hands'. 

Without hesitation, within seconds SCOTT TAYLOR knocked down his water  in solidarity LOL!

It's Thursday evening so of course I'm reading the Critical Capabilities for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms report from Gartner! 

It was really interesting to read the report to get an understanding of the analytics & business intelligence software landscape and to compare the strengths from the key players.

Key findings from the report include: 1) Various users like analytics developers, business analysts, data scientists, and augmented consumers have analytics and BI needs and require solutions that can provide both data science and ML capabilities. 2) There are clear concerns around data governance since there are multiple platforms used in organizations with their own business logic. 3) Additionally self-service BI doesn't yet meet the needs of the business and users want more pre-built analytics to be provided. 

Below is a graphic that shows the ranking of vendors’ product scores, specifically for the Business Analyst use case. Congratulations to Pyramid Analytics, Oracle Tableau for getting into the top 3 spots!
