Key Accomplishments:

Record Year - In 2018, we exceeded $1B in annual revenue for the first time in company history and delivered a 125% bonus to marketing employees for executing a high-performing brand plan that helped deliver on company goals while staying within budget.

Award Winning CES Booth - Brand team created an entire neighborhood experience that showcased our new product launches and was selected as a “Top 20 - Best of CES” booth in the same class of brands such as Google, Intel, Netflix and Samsung. 

Product Awareness - Set the strategy and signed NBA players Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert as brand ambassadors. Launched a fully integrated campaign that went viral and received millions of views, engagements and sales leads. Worked closely with Utah Jazz executive team as our largest corporate marketing partner through the arena naming rights deal (Vivint Smart Home Arena).

#TakeNote Campaign - Created and executed a season-long strategy that culminated with a trip to the playoffs for the first time in five seasons. Players and fans organically adopted the Take Note message that quickly became a statewide anthem and was frequently talked about on ESPN and TNT. The Jazz continue to use the campaign today.

Managed all aspects of team marketing and game operations for the Utah Jazz, SLC Stars, and Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels).

Served on the executive leadership team that led the extensive arena renovation and secured the new ten-year arena naming rights partner (Vivint Smart Home Arena).

Nike Collaboration - Worked directly with Nike Basketball to design and launch an entirely new set of jerseys for the team. One of the unique designs was dedicated to Southern Utah and included a basketball court that matched the uniform. The concept became the best selling jersey in team history and Nike couldn’t keep up with demand. The success led to Nike building an on site arena store with a wide variety of limited edition items for Jazz fans.

Launched 5 FOR THE FIGHT jersey patch with Qualtrics. Worked with Nike on color combinations. The patch was the first-of-its-kind among all North American professional sports teams because it focused on charitable efforts instead of a corporation. Crowdsourcing to donate $5 to the fight against cancer.

Personally responsible for driving the strategic brand plans and consumer initiatives for football and baseball training. Served on the leadership team that planned a month long consumer journey (product and events) leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII, in New York City.

North America Brand Director, Football & Baseball

Directly managed a $38M demand creation budget, along with planning and delivering the marketing and media buying strategies. Managed a team of 20 people with 5 direct reports.

Member of leadership team that delivered double-digit growth for multiple years, resulting in $500M+ in annual revenue. Reported directly to the U.S. general manager.

Tangible Retail Partnership Returns - Worked very closely with Dicks Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Golfsmith, and several other retail partners on product launches, athletes appearances, merchandising and promotional plans. Over a three year span, we grew our retail business by 150%, mainly driven by apparel.

Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy Campaign - We signed Rory and then launched the first creative with both athletes, titled - No Cup Is Safe. The spot received 10 million+ views (on YouTube) in two days and was the second most watched Nike commercial that year, behind a global soccer ad. Nike Golf apparel sales grew by 25% during the heart of the media campaign.

Cancer Awareness Initiative - Partnered with EIF and Halle Berry to drive awareness for ovarian cancer research. Through product auctions and public donations, we raised $3M for the foundation.

Appointed by CEO to turn around the struggling Top-Flite brand that had lost both dollar and market share for six straight years.

Managed a brand P&L of $55M and launched the most successful golf ball in seven years, beating company forecasts by 25%.

Golf Rap Video Goes Viral - Wrote a rap song about the Top-Flite brand and golf balls and played a superhero (D2 Man) in a YouTube video that completely disrupted the stuffy golf industry. The content was viewed over 1 million times within 24 hours, and the New York Times covered the story. The publicity put the new D2 golf ball on the map and supercharged the rebuilding process.

Employee of the Year Award - Received highest honor in the company, the 2007 Ely Callaway Award, for exceeding expectations on the Top-Flite brand.
