Directed all business processes and financially related matters for academic Regional Programs Centers in a community based setting in accordance with UAMS policies and procedures. Prepared budgets, financial status reports, oversaw procurement, travel, payroll, information technology and human resource functions, administration of federal and state grants and established contractual arrangements with various partners to help meet overall objectives of the program. Assisted with physician recruitment, onboarding, training, discussed physician performance metrics, and developed plans for improvement. Conducted program leadership in all operational areas. Directly supervised Business Office functions related to: HR/payroll, information technology, travel, contracts, finances, billing, coding, registration, financial counseling, scheduling, administration, clinic operations and purchasing. Initiated monthly budget for outpatient expenses; created expense reports to document spending; directed finances to patient care and office necessities. Implemented multiple new systems to enhance the overall efficiency of outpatient processes. Audited patient charts in correspondence to Medicare and HIPPA requirements. Initiated customer transactions on-line or manually, including loan payments, transfers between accounts and related transactions; checked out credit files and made them available for the loan officer, and filed necessary documents in loan files. Developed presentations for lenders using presentation software; prepared reports and spreadsheets utilizing information from bank systems.
