Retention is not the new acquisition, but it’s your one-way ticket to building something that lasts. The problem is… it’s a slippery thing! Let’s say you have a great product (a must), and the product-market-price fit is on point. Maybe you've even started playing with all those shiny retention apps all the cool kids are using. Kudos to you, but that's not enough. Here’s the hard truth. No matter how much you spend on your retention tech stack, you need the “secret sauce” (which I’ll reveal to you shortly). If you’re missing it, none of these will make a difference in the long run: - tracking CLV, MRR, CRR - email/SMS marketing - RFM segmentation - loyalty programs - subscriptions - referrals - NPS To make things worse, you’ve likely been bouncing from agency to agency. The next one always promises incredible results without even diving into your business. Red flags to watch out for: 🚩 “50% revenue from email!” 🚩 🚩 “Retention is the new acquisition!” 🚩 🚩 “Generated over 1 BAZILLION in email revenue!” 🚩 (If it feels like a rip-off, it is). It’s not your fault. As a business owner, you wear a million hats. You’re being pulled in every direction, so how are you supposed to figure out the “secret sauce” on top of everything else? Don’t worry. You already know it. You may have been distracted from it, but it’s there. And you don’t have to get on a discovery call with me, I'll reveal it right now. Beyond the fancy apps and metrics, retention is all about… ✨ Customer success ✨ That’s it. That’s the secret sauce. Retention jargon might be sexy (I sure love it), but if you lose track of the WHY, your retention program will fail. Now here’s the great news: if you’ve read this far, you CARE about your customers. You want them to succeed and have a great experience. So the only thing left to do is start a retention program that reflects this. And that’s where I can help. I won’t promise you 50% of revenue from email. I won’t say retention is all you need (because that’s BS!).
