It's easy to feel down, scrolling the feed.

100k launches. 
1000 dollar coaching calls.

It's all in our face all of the freaking time.

But we only see the wins. 
Trust me, we all lose.

(and many people inflate their numbers) 

So the next time you feel down, just stop for a second and walk over to a mirror..

Look at yourself and scream WOOOO. 
↳ celebrate a small win and encourage yourself. 

Then, get back to work.

You only lose this game by quitting.

I reject "normal" life. 

Get a degree 
Work a stable job
Buy a house with lots of empty rooms
Get a car lease 
Still unhappy so u go in debt to buy more useless stuff
Go on an expensive yearly holiday and hate it
Eat beyond burgers

I watched my friends choose that path and said nah, that ain't for me. 

Instead, I chose my own journey: 

I didn't go to university (avoided debt) 
Worked in the trades → traveled in the winter
Became a digital nomad in 2016 (never looked back)
Started making money on social media.
Sold my truck → Uber instead
Own basically nothing
Eat steak 

The traditional path is the easy one.

But there's another way.

But that journey is a personal one, so instead. 

I'm just gonna say Happy Sunday.

Organic reach is dying on LinkedIn.

But I see an opportunity....

Here's how I am pivoting in April 2024:

This year, my reach is done by 30% vs 2023.
This week, I've seen my reach drop 50%
This week, client reach is down 60%
This week, LinkedIn is zzzzzzzzzz...

So far in 2024 people are responding to the reach dropping by getting even more boring....

Safe topics. 
Infographics. 
Sales content. 

It makes sense because, well, people are scared.

But my plan, however is the following:

Random stories
Engaging livestreams
Posts that aren't selling
Rants and random topics

The answer to less reach isn't to play it safe.
↳ it's to start taking some chances. 

It's time to get creative. 
It's time to tell better stories.
It's time to start commenting with sauce.

Because reach will keep dropping.

But if you risk building your own personal brand.

Like a truly unique one; don't copy anyone...

It won't matter for you.

I quit drinking alcohol 345 days ago. 

The year prior, 2022 was tough...
I got lost in alcohol, grief, and dark times.
I roamed around in a campervan and was homeless. 

(also slept on my cousin's couch for a while)

But I managed to turn it around. 

In the last year:

I quit drinking alcohol.
I've lost 30 pounds. Got fit.
I moved to South America to build a new life.
I rebuilt my ghostwrit.......

...............................................

Yeah, so I'm not going to follow the script.

We all know how these stories go. 

Sad back story > Comeback > Now I'm happy.

Real life isn't a LinkedIn influencer post. 

This is my current reality: 

I find LinkedIn very boring. 
I'm not working 18 hours a day.
I'm not doing 750 pushups a day.
I'm staving off drinking, but barely.

Welp, Luke that isn't encouraging now, is it? 
↳ maybe not, but it's real. 

(I can't complain really tho, life is good)

But the thing is, I've learned something about life..

If u hang on through the "MEH" times, eventually, you start winning again. 

So if that's you, just show up. 

Stand tall. 

In time, the season will change and you'll feel different.
