How to build a $100M product without coding or SaaS experience. 
 
It’s really this simple... 
 
1. Think of a cool name for your product 😎 
↳ It doesn’t matter what the product is, as long as it sounds cool and has .ai on the end. 
 
2. Make a cool website 💻 
↳ Add a stylish logo and a killer font - you can use Canva for this. 
 
3. Tell everyone how “revolutionary” your product is 🌶 
↳ The more buzzwords you use to describe it the the better. 
 
4. Get investors to buy into your product 🥧 
↳ Offer them a piece of the pie - people love pie. 
 
5. Realise you don’t know anything 
↳ This isn’t an issue. 
 
6. Move to Bali 🌴 
↳ That’s where the best founders live. 
 
7. Hire machine learning experts ⚙️ 
↳ After all, the CEO should be working ‘on the business, not in it’. 
 
8. Tell the experts to ‘just build your big idea” 🏗 
↳ Don’t forget the buzzwords. 
 
9. Start running out of money 💵 
↳ Might have to cut back on the “networking” ski trips. 
 
10. Sell the company 💰 
↳ Should get $100M easily. 
 
11. Start your next venture 📈 
↳ Maybe a crypto business. 
 
PS. Don’t forget to tell everyone how successful you are along the way. That will really help drum up some consultation work on the side. 
 
✅ It’s getting hands on and building something. 
✅ It’s making mistakes and learning on the job. 
✅ It’s applying the things you’ve studied. 
 
Education is important. 
 
But practice is the real “growth hack” 
 
 


I wasted 4 years building products the wrong way. 
 
And it led me to many failures. 
 
- I was taking ages to ship ideas. 
- I wasn't iterating. 
- I thought everything needed to be perfect. 
 
It led to poor products that nobody wanted to buy. 
 
Something needed to change. 
 
So I shifted my mindset. 
 
- I stopped chasing perfection. 
- I started launching new (unfinished) products every 2 weeks. 
- I was in a constant phase of testing, learning and improving. 
 
Things I used to spend months on took days. 
 
And whilst there were still a lot of failures, I embraced them as part of the development process. 
 
I'd fail. 
 
Then bounce back with new ideas. 
 
Fast forward to today and that approach has helped me launch multiple successful products - and even acquire some others. 
 
For all you creators out there - learn from my mistakes.  
 
Don't get hung up on perfection. 
 
Build fast - ship fast. 
 
You'll thank me later.

Hiring based on Resumes and interviews is cr*p. 
 
Hear me out... 
 
This is the best way to hire instead ↓ 
 
A paid short trial period. 
 
The only way you can really judge an applicant is through a hands-on approach. 
 
And within a week or two of them working, you’ll have your answer. 
 
A fully stacked resume doesn’t make that person a great hire. 
 
Nor does a 30min interview tell you the whole story. 
 
This strategy has been pivotal for us in building a great team.

One of the biggest things that holds entrepreneurs back. 
 
→ Getting too attached to your ideas. 
 
I see it all the time.  
 
People put years of love and labour into a product. 
 
Then find out there's no market fit. 
 
The idea should have been scrapped in week 2. 
 
The solution? 
 
Build fast. Ship fast. 
 
Before Tweet Hunter took off, I built 1 product a week. 
 
Then, I took it to the market as soon as possible. 
 
The goal was... If it's profitable, we keep going. 
 
If not, we scrap the idea and start again. 
 
Because the truth is... 
 
Just because you think a product could be great doesn't mean the market thinks it will be great. 
 
Come up with an idea → quickly. 
 
Build an MVP → quickly. 
 
Go to Market → quickly. 
 
Then iterate and go again. 
 
The only way to know is to get it out there and see what happens.

I spent 9 years on Twitter (X) without posting. 
 
Then one day, I decided to start - and everything changed. 
 
The biggest advice I can give is → just get started. 
 
Write that first tweet. 
 
Publish that first LinkedIn post. 
 
Embrace the fact that you're going to fail. 
 
Then do it anyway.

The fastest way to 10 x your skill set?  
 
❌ It isn’t coaching.  
❌ It isn’t reading a book every day.  
❌ It isn’t doing 100 online courses.  
 
✅ It’s getting hands on and building something.  
✅ It’s making mistakes and learning on the job.  
✅ It’s applying the things you’ve studied.  
 
Education is important.  
 
But practice is the real “growth hack” 🚀

I often get asked how I learned to build products. 
 
People come to me saying things like ↓ 
 
"I've done X coding course, which course do you think I should take next?". 
 
But courses and camps will only get you so far. 
 
The only real way to learn - is to do. 
 
- Build projects that excite you. 
- Work through the technical issues. 
- Go to the market and try selling the thing. 
 
Your first few attempts will probably fail - mine did. 
 
But you'll learn way more than any course could ever teach you. 
 
And if you keep going... 
 
You might just find something that takes off.

We over-complicate things 🤦‍♂️ 
 
One example:  
 
EVERY SINGLE SEO agency we talked to asked us to migrate our blog to platform XYZ 🤯 
 
I am now convinced the most important is to make it EASY to write.  
 
So we write on Notion (the best experience imo) and we use a tool called Feather (Feather.so) to take care of the rest ✨

Then add a human touch to finish things off 👏🏻

This 3-step plan will increase your chances of a successful product launch by 100X 
 
This is exactly how I rank my products on Product Hunt 👇🏻 
 
Step 1) Pre-launch prep 
 
- Plan everything in advance and give yourself time to get creative. 
- Warm your audience by putting out value on social and email etc. 
- Analyse competitors and study their launches. What did they do well? What could you do better? 
- Create all of your launch assets for social, web, email, YouTube etc. Make a checklist and be thorough. 
 
Step 2) Launch day 
 
- Schedule the launch for 12:01 am. This will give you more time to rank. 
- Start sending DMs and update community channels. Shout about the product and ask for feedback. 
- Get active on social. Engage with your followers and spread the word as far as possible 
 
Step 3) Post-launch 
 
- Thank all the people who have helped you with the launch. 
- Add any badges (like top products) to your website. 
- Then get to work improving your product. After all, the journey has just begun 😁

In 2018, I was ready to give up on entrepreneurship. 
 
I had two failed start-ups under my belt. 
 
Something wasn't clicking. And I kept asking myself if... 
 
"Maybe I wasn't cut out for it". 
 
So I took a job as a CTO at another company. 
 
Then 2020 Covid happened. 
 
My world got shook-up and I was left jobless. 
 
In a panic, I reached out to an old friend and started working on new products - taking a build-fast, ship-fast approach. 
 
- We put out 11 products. 
- 8 got active users. 
- 4 generated $$$. 
- 1 (Tweet Hunter) took off. 
 
I don't know what would have happened if I had fully walked away from being a creator. 
 
But the lesson is clear. 
 
If you want to be successful... 
 
You need to embrace failure as part of the process. 
 
PS. Also worth remembering that if you're learning, you're not 'really' failing.

Growth doesn’t always come from heavy product updates or expensive marketing campaigns 🙅 
 
Sometimes...  
 
All you have to do is change who you’re speaking to 📣 
 
For us, the realisation was that most of our target customers were people who would only use the product once. 
 
At the same time, there was an entire audience of people that we weren’t targeting. 
 
Who needed a solution to the problem we solved? 
 
And faced that problem every week. 
 
So we pivoted ➡️ 
↓ 
Churn dropped 🔥 
↓ 
Repeat custom went up 🚀 
↓ 
Everyone was happy 😁 
 
But it all starts by analysing your users and paying attention to their needs.
