Most people overcomplicate how content is created online (it’s not that complex): You don’t need to: • Use “Viral” hook templates. • Create 100 posts in one week. • Use a complex ChatGPT script. • Do what everyone else is doing. • Have 3 months of content scheduled. Instead, steal my content strategy: 1. First, what my content is all about. • Creating posts that gets leads on LinkedIn. Keep it simple and direct. 2. Next, break that down even further. • I write about content that converts. • I write about content that gets results. • I write about content that works for me. • I write about content that works for my clients. 3. Now, choose how you’ll write about this: Keep in mind, all categories will be related to content (or whichever topic you talk about). • Results • Trainings • Hacks/Tips • Transformations • Business Growth • Personal Branding Talk about the same thing over and over again every single day. Notice how I ALWAYS talk about content? If you’re a fitness coach, replace “content” with “fitness,” “nutrition,” or “health.” Repetition is the best way to be clear. 4. Lastly, steal my engagement process: • I write and publish my content. • I reply to all of my comments. • I send 15-20 connections to ICP. • I write 25-50 comments on ICP posts. • I write 25-50 comments on top creators. • I answer all DMs and questions on my posts. I repeat this process 1-2 times a day. Do this over and over again until your audience knows EXACTLY what you’re doing on LinkedIn. Then you’ll be ahead.
I use storytelling to create authentic content. Here's my five-step framework to be unbeatable: Most of the stories you see on LinkedIn only talk about big "wins" or massive success. But the best stories are transformational. Here we go: 1) Write one thing you want to talk about. ↳ "Create a profitable personal brand." 2) Write down three of your biggest challenges. ↳ "Time, consistency, writing." 3) Write down how the challenges helped you. ↳ "Learned the importance of systems." 4) Write down how you solved the problems. ↳ "Built a complex, five-step framework." 5) Write down a lesson that can be taken away. ↳ "Don't just go with the flow; Build systems." Create your content based on the journey. Most "storytelling" posts on this platform talk about the facts. Analytics. Numbers. Wins. If you want to stand out: Share the transformation instead. People are emotional. This week, I'll be sharing my unbeatable framework to help you stay ahead of your competition. Join 9k other readers here: alexcolhoun.com
Anyone can build a profitable business on LinkedIn with this one specific strategy: I used to overthink everything. • Doubting my content. • Spending hours researching. • Targeting the wrong audience. But once I cracked this one simple strategy, everything changed. And no, it doesn't involve: • Spending thousands on paid ads. • Working in front of your computer 24/7. Most of you will keep scrolling and ignore this video (leaving $$$ on the table). For those of you who decide to stay, you're on your way to the top 1%. This strategy includes: 1. Ghostwriting 2. LinkedIn LIO System 3. The LinkedIn Profile Funnel 4. DM Sniper Method 5. Inbound/Outbound Strategy Watch the full YouTube video here and keep winning with me: https://lnkd.in/gT7bVUWb
I’ve been learning the top methods to sell more on LinkedIn for the past 24 months. If you want to make money on LinkedIn, it starts with this: • Target the right people. • Spread the right message. • Portray at the right time. The hardest part is doing this consistently. But with all the experience I have over the years, I’ve got you covered: 1. Know Your Ideal Audience (Who’s Buying) It’s crucial that you’re extremely specific. Being too broad will make it 100x more complicated to sell anything. You can use: • Past Experiences • Client Conversations • Top Search Results To find who and what your ideal client looks like. 2. Create Content that Resonates (To Buyers) The next step is simple: stop posting for engagement. Instead, post high-value content for clarity. • What do they need help with the most? • What are they struggling with? • What is their biggest fear? 3. Make Your offer a “Must Have” Your content is the top of the funnel. That should lead your audience toward your solution (also known as your paid offers). • Don’t hard sell. • Don’t be super pushy. Make it evident that YOUR solution is a must-have to solve their problems. Remember: this takes time. Be repetitive with your content. Talk about the same thing over and over again. The more obvious, the more sales. Win-win.
If you want to make one very wise decision before the end of May, make it this: Start building your one-person business on LinkedIn. You can easily do this by: • Creating daily organic content. • Writing weekly email content. • Sending 100x connections weekly. • Offering both free and paid products. If you had a goal of $20,000 in a single month of revenue, here's the math behind it: • Selling 5x High-Ticket Offers @ $2,750 Each • Selling 30x Medium Ticket Offers @ $179 Each • Selling 50x Low-Ticket Offers @ $29 Each Now, you won't sell this right off the start. But if you want to reach this point, here's what you'll need moving forward: • Proven system that gets you results. • Growth mindset to focus on the long-term. • Consistent routine that keeps you accountable. LinkedIn is different for everyone. We're all creating different types of content. We're all selling many different types of products. The one thing we can both do that's the same: A proven system that helps you create consistent daily content and generate inbound/outbound leads. I'm doing this for myself and my clients. P.S. Comment the word "sell" on this post and I'll send you my free premium email content to help start attracting clients on LinkedIn.
After spending 9+ months monitoring LinkedIn users, I've noticed a big mistake creators make: Comparing your 1-year self to someone else's 10-year self. It's 100% not easy to avoid, though. If you scroll your timeline, all you'll see is: • "Just landed a $100k client!" • "Finally reached 200k followers!" • "Reached 7 figures in 6 months!" It's easy to get caught up in all of this. It's hard not to compare. As someone who looks up to other creators for inspiration, I know it's bound to happen eventually. I've worked with 35 clients these past few months. Here's what I told them: • Your first email won't be good. • Your first offer might make you $0. • Your first 100 followers will take time. • Your first negative review will suck. • Your first sales funnel won't work. Most people would stop after they run into these problems. And that's the reality. When I started, everything from content to graphics to the quality of what I produced was garbage. You're looking at failure the wrong way. Use those failures to bounce back. Use them to ensure you don't make the same mistake twice. Anything worthwhile takes time. If you quit, you lose. Don't quit.
LinkedIn has become my #1 client-hunting platform — and it can be yours in 2025 too. In just 12 months, I: • Coached 100+ business owners 1:1. • Build a customer base of over 3,000 people. • Built a business I can run from anywhere. Today, I'm in Estonia 🇪🇪 And I did it all with organic LinkedIn content. LinkedIn works really well when done right. And no — it’s not as complicated as most people make it out to be (with the right system). Here's the 3-step system I use for myself and my agency to build a profitable business on LinkedIn: • Positioning yourself as the go-to expert. • Prospecting ideal clients with targeting. • Converting with content that builds trust. This system helped me grow faster than I ever expected — and it's something anyone can learn. I recorded a 10-minute masterclass to show you exactly how to: • Attract more ideal clients. • Convert content into revenue. • Scale a personal brand you fully own. Watch the full breakdown here: https://linktw.in/VEHsnb Let’s make 2025 the year LinkedIn becomes your most profitable platform.
The content you see on LinkedIn isn’t necessarily what you should take inspiration from. Most people have the wrong interpretation of what content on LinkedIn should be. • You’ll see viral giveaways. • You’ll see generic AI fluff. • You’ll see productivity “hacks.” Yes, it can help with easy growth. But it’s not necessarily the right direction for you. Let’s keep it real: everyone wants to grow their brand (and business). Whether you’re selling low-ticket digital products or high-ticket services. You’re looking to sell MORE. And the best way to do that is to talk about what you sell MORE. Instead of saying— “Hey, I’m selling this amazing product, buy it!” Try this: 1. Build in Public While you’re building new products/services, share what you’re actually building. The behind-the-scenes challenges, wins, failures, you name it. Talk to your ideal customers. • What are they currently struggling with? • What would they 100% pay for? This is how you’ll build a paid offer that people cannot resist going without. 2. Build Genuine Connections Building alongside like-minded people is always the most productive method of growth. Zero competition. Just mutual learning. Create a small circle of individuals who share the same mindset and skillset and learn from each other. 3. Give Knowledge— Sell Implementation Start sharing more of your knowledge for free. You can begin selling the implementation of that knowledge inside your paid offers. To grow on LinkedIn, you need to become somewhat relevant. The best way to do this is by sharing your expertise, experiences, and behind-the-scenes. You’ll build trust, authority, and begin attracting the right people. Nope, it won’t be easy. Yes, it’ll take time. But that’s just part of the process. P.S. How to personalize your hooks to attract leads/followers on LinkedIn: (best method to make people tap "see more") As I'm scrolling my timeline, here's what I see: • Hooks without any context. • Hooks built from boring templates. • Hooks that are generic (AI-written). If you want your LinkedIn content to sell and attract an audience of real fans, you need: • Real, authentic content. • Numbers that show social proof and results. • Stories and context that resonate. With sub-hooks, you can do just that. You'll be able to add more information, improve your hooks to resonate, and personalize your content to sound more like you. Save this post/visual for future use.
LinkedIn is one of the top platforms right now to get inbound leads from— here’s how: Here’s the thing: Most people don’t even realize they’re looking for your services until you make them known. If you position yourself, target the right audience, and show your authority, ICPs are waiting for you. There are three ways you can do this: 1: Likes + Comments on Your Content Filter out your ICP and send this message: “Hey [ICP], I’m thrilled that you enjoyed my latest post on [topic]. Let me know if you ever want my perspective on [topic].” 2: New Incoming Connection Requests Filter out your ICP and send this message: “Hey [ICP], thanks for connecting! Were you interested in my services or looking to expand your network? Cheers!” 3: Views on Your Content + Profile Filter out your ICP and send this message: “Hey [ICP]! If you ever want my perspective on [topic], don’t hesitate to reach out! Cheers!” Yes, many of these are pretty simple. Yes, this isn’t some crazy strategy. However, simplicity is often better than complexity. You don’t need a crazy conversation starter that repels the heck out of people that you speak with. Just start a conversation. All of the individuals have already shown interest in you, your content, or your services. Now figure out why. Last thing to note: Always be yourself. Don’t use some inorganic AI template. Talk like you would talk normally. You’ll never find out until you send that DM.
If I lost every follower today, here’s how I’d rebuild from scratch — fast: Let’s say my LinkedIn hit zero tomorrow. No followers, no traction, no leads. Here’s exactly what I’d do to bounce back (and start making sales within 30 days): (you'll want to save this one) 1. I’d lean into my unfair edge. This is the stuff that cuts through the noise: • A skill that gives me leverage (writing) • A story to connect (burnout → breakthrough) • Social proof (media features, wins, receipts) This is the exact combo that takes you from invisible → in demand. 2. I’d publish content built to get clients. • No fluff. Just straight solutions. • Identify one pain point for one person. • Write like I’m solving it just for them. Repeat. Daily. Examples: • "How to grow a newsletter (fast) on LinkedIn.” • "3 ways I turn story posts into leads.” 3. I’d start with two clear offers. One high-ticket, one low-lift: • Done-for-you offer ($2K–$5K+) • DIY product or template ($49–$199) That way, I can monetize quickly — while building authority long-term. 4. I’d split my content between story + strategy. • Story makes me human. It builds trust. • Strategy proves I can help. It builds credibility. 5. I’d write big hooks with niche value. Hook: “Burnout hit me out of nowhere” Context: “I was working 14-hour days” Lesson: “Boundaries grew my business” This gets reach and relevance — the growth sweet spot. 6. I’d showcase proof — subtly but often. Not bragging. Just demonstrating. • Screenshots • Testimonials • Real numbers • Namedrops (if earned) Show > Tell. 7. I’d optimize hooks with specific keywords. Let your target client recognize themselves. Examples: • “Use AI to boost LinkedIn posts” • “Lessons from 100+ coach clients” 8. I’d launch one lead magnet a week. • Solve one specific problem • Require email to access it • Follow up with genuine value — and an offer Ex: “Guide: How I booked 5 clients in 7 days." It’s a lead gen and trust-building engine in one. 9. I’d work with 3 influential creators — for free. • Only if I could blow them away with results. • Then turn those case studies into content. • Then into paying clients. This shortcut builds proof and network fast. 10. I’d be in the DMs daily. Not pitching. Just starting real convos. • People who comment? DM. • People who view my profile? DM. • People who engage over time? DM. Ask smart questions. Look for fit. Not just to grow. But to get paid. 👉 If you’re building a business with content, hit follow. I share tactical growth moves like this every week.
If you don't want to grow your business on LinkedIn, do what everyone else is doing: • Send hundreds of cold DMs daily. • Create boring content with zero strategy. • Copy outdated strategies from a year ago. Ignore these irrelevant systems. Instead, use my method to sell your digital products and high-ticket offers. You can easily add an extra $5,000/month to your revenue in 30-60 days. There are three things I want you to keep in mind: 1. 90% of my sales come from inbound leads. 2. I haven't spent a single dollar on paid ads. 3. It takes more than one hour a day to succeed. This is the reality. I recorded an 8-minute masterclass breaking down the following systems: • Creating "why" content (best for conversions). • Building a system for content that converts. • Selling both digital products and services online. If you have atleast ten minutes today: 💬 Comment "BIZ" on this post. ♻️ Send me a connection so I can DM you. I'll see you inside.
I helped one of my students 12x their content performance in under 60 days. The process I used was simple: 1. Find out what she was doing wrong. 2. Fix it and implement a proven system. I had to build a specific approach since we were working in a B2B marketing environment. We began testing four new content ideas: • Educational • Data-Driven • Problem-Solving • Success Stories Once we knew what to post, we then began implementing these seven steps: 1. Engagement strategy (30min/day). 2. Content writing (60min/day). 3. Auto-plugs (10min/day). 4. Review data (20min/day). 5. Idea creation (120min/week). 6. Email promotion (60min/day). 7. Overall optimization (20min/day). LinkedIn can be a time-consuming platform. Some days, I spend over 12 hours on my laptop getting things done that are necessary. I didn't say it would be easy. But within the first 60 days, we managed to 12x her content performance. Follow these steps: Find the Problem → Implement a Proven System → Build a Routine → Analyze Data → Repeat. If you're not seeing results and don't change anything, that's your problem.
The best way to stand out on LinkedIn is this: Be both original and repetitive. The best marketing campaigns don't just create one ad and move on to the next. • They create their original spin. • They create the same thing over and over again. Being ONLY original isn't enough. AND being ONLY repetitive also isn't enough. After posting over 2,000 times on LinkedIn, this is what I've found: • Less than 10% of your network sees your content. • Less than 3% of those viewers are ready to buy. • The rest of the viewers need to see you more. That means MORE repetition. You won't attract business if your content has no real intent. Here's how I attract customers: 1. Find your content type (what you talk about). 2. List out all problems/solutions for your ICP. 3. Use my TOFU/MOFU/BOFU strategy. 4. Post 1x on LinkedIn daily. 5. Engage on LinkedIn daily. 6. Repeat steps 1-5 relentlessly. It's not about what your funnel looks like, but how you apply the strategy to your routine. Start attracting. P.S. Questions? Ask me below.
I've spent the last four months building my LinkedIn strategy for 2025 (Q2/Q3) (steal this): This blueprint is broken down into several parts: • Email List (Owned Audience) • Digital Products (Business Growth) • High-Ticket Agency (Business Growth) • Private Community (Growth-Focused) The goal isn't just to build on LinkedIn. The goal is to build a targeted ecosystem. We aren't aiming to reach everyone on LinkedIn (this would be useless). Instead, I focus on a specific audience facing a problem I can solve. Here's the breakdown: 1. Email List (Newsletter) Creating in-depth (long-form) content. Promoting YouTube videos. Owning my audience. Upselling paid offers. 2. Digital Products (Free/Paid) The Accelerator Program (coming soon). Lead magnets (free products). 3. High-Ticket Agency Ghostwriting services. Everything LinkedIn. 4. Private Community Close-knit community. Access to like-minded individuals. Weekly video calls w/ the community. Here's what I recommend: 1. Open your notes app (or notebook). 2. Write down everything you want to create. 3. Determine the method (courses, etc). 4. List out 8-10 goals every quarter. 5. Create a daily to-do list the night before. Once you've done this, don't sleep until you've checked everything off your daily to-do list. You need to hold yourself accountable. Make 2025 the year of action, not ideation. P.S. I’ve spoken with many creators with 25k+ followers who still struggle creating content. Not kidding. They get 100s of likes on their posts. They grow 2,000+ followers a month. But after spending hours of their time creating content— they don't attract the right audience. Sales are at an all-time low. Here’s the thing: If you want to grow a business, you need very specific targeted posts (not growth content). Whether you're selling a service, consulting, or running a business: Growing an audience is different than growing a business. For a minute, do the following: • Ignore how many likes you get. • Ignore what formatting you use. • Ignore the perfect engagement strategy. Start writing like you actually talk. • Experiment with simple & complex visuals. • Experiment with longer-form posts. • Experiment with video content. Create more compelling content. You’ll attract more qualified leads. The goal is to spend less time creating, and more time closing new clients. If you want more sales, growth is slower. But business growth is always #1.
Most people on LinkedIn will never reach their full potential when building their online empire. And it doesn't have to do with: • Skill levels. • Previous background. • Perspective or mindset. • Not being early enough. • Amount of talent. The #1 reason why creators (maybe even yourself) haven't reached their potential yet is defined in one word: Fear. We make choices every day. It's easy to get "scared" of the outcome. And the scary part about this? The less "scary" choice often has much worse backlash than the other choices. It's up to you to choose what you accomplish in life and business. You can dominate LinkedIn in the next six months if you put your head down and focus. Don't let fear hold you back. I'm sharing my routine to stay ahead of the competition without worrying/fearing about others. Join 10k other readers here: alexcolhoun.com
I began taking LinkedIn seriously over a year ago. After everything I've experimented with... LinkedIn has been the best decision I've made. Here's a solid list of ten reasons you need to start building your empire on LinkedIn in 2025: 1. You can promote like crazyyyy. 2. You can make money while you sleep. 3. You can easily stand out in your niche. 4. You can build trust with your audience. 5. You can build a massive personal brand. 6. You can work remotely anywhere you want. 7. You can build time/location/financial freedom. 8. You can meet incredible people along the way. 9. You can attract high-ticket clients with no ads. 10. You can find your dream customers (for free). All of this can be done in less than six months. I've been a self-learner for 9 years now: • I practice writing every day. • I test new things every week. • I re-evaluate 100% of my content. LinkedIn has changed. It's not just a job platform. It's not just a resume builder. It's not just for corporate people. LinkedIn is for: • 9-5 Grinders • SaaS Owners • Entrepreneurs • Content Creators • Business Owners And even if you don't fall into these categories, there's no better time to start than now. My advice to you right now: Take LinkedIn seriously.
Today, I'm in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 meeting two of my friends (both who run content agencies). First off, building your personal brand online to sell digital products and services gives you: • Location freedom to work wherever. • Time freedom to work when you want. • People free to work with who you want. I didn't build these luxuries over night. But I've been able to work long and hard enough over the years to get to this point. It's 100% not easy to do, but you can with the right tools, community, and systems. If I started from scratch, here's what I'd do: 1. Choose a high-income skill to master. 2. Learn from 1-2 elite people, not 50. 3. Create free daily content on what you learn. 4. Focus on helping a specific audience. 5. Pick ONE platform and dominate it first. 6. Stay brutally consistent for 90 days. 7. Document your real process, wins + losses. 8. Build an email list from Day 1. 9. Offer free value to build real trust. 10. Turn FAQs into content ideas daily. 11. Validate your first paid offer early. 12. Sell BEFORE you create anything. 13. Focus offers on solving one big problem. 14. Package your knowledge into tiny wins. 15. Price based on value, not hours. 16. Overdeliver wildly on your first clients. 17. Post 5x more than you’re comfortable with. 18. Invest your early money back into learning. 19. Build a simple funnel, not a fancy site. 20. Collaborate with people bigger than you. There's literally no better time than now. P.S. Drop questions below; I'll answers them all. Cheers.
Full honesty: I have never believed in the "work-life balance" as an entrepreneur. Instead, I believe in: • Time of both work and rest. • Overall purpose instead of balance. • Life and work integrated as one. If you want to succeed in the online world. you need to perform well in both life and work. There are a few ways to do this: 1. Deep Focus 2. Deep Rest 3. Deep Clarity I've been building online businesses and posting content for over 8 years. Not ever year is easy. Here's my seven-step process to perform well in both life and in work simultaneously: 1. Align your work with your core purpose. 2. Set bold 60–90 day outcome goals. 3. Work in 3 focused 90-minute blocks. 4. Schedule tasks around peak energy. 5. Prioritize deep rest and recovery. 6. Reflect and reset every single week. 7. Make space for joy, play, and fun. Focus on doing this for the next 90-120 days. No distractions. Just take action and execute. It's really not that complicated, but 99% of you will read this and still not do anything. P.S. Click on my profile and follow me here on LinkedIn. I'll show you the path to success through proven systems.
